I juiced apple, carrots, ginger, watermelon and even wheatgrass and beets. It was great!! This is my 2nd juicer. I originally had a Breville Juicer which is a good juicer too. Honestly, this new low-speed masticating type juicer works a lot better than the centrifugal type. This juicer is better than any other juicers I have ever used. The instructions were very easy and the first step in the process was to take everything apart to give it a good first wash. I almost just skipped this step but I figured I would need to learn how to take apart to clean anyway so I might as well do it now when there isn't pulp and juice over everything. Especially, I enjoy making grape juice with this Juicer every day. Make sure you do not put the materials too much at a time. It has a low speed operation ,but it makes juice fast. Yup, This juicer is very quiet and makes lots of juice out of fruits and vegetables. And it says its juicing components are made of Triton making it as a BPA free product. Some pulp in the juice ,but I am satisfied with this juicer overall....

So imagine our surprise when we set this up on Christmas morning, fed some carrots into it, then some oranges ... only to see the machine start complaining, clogging up and refusing to perform. We went to the manual and were stunned to read, way down on the last line of a section, that the machine is "not for citrus fruits"!!!!! Maybe this is common knowledge in the juice world, but in our ignorance we expected a $200 "juice extractor" to be able to handle oranges, which I suspect (although I haven't researched this) are pretty near the top of the list of fruits that get turned into juice. We tried for two weeks to call the Delonghi US customer service line that is helpfully provided in the manual but kept getting the "we're experiencing unusually high call volume" message. They say you can leave a message and they will get back to you, but guess their system was overloaded because it wouldn't take ours. Bottom line: the machine looks great and feels substantial, but it's going back to Amazon and we'll order a Breville, which (gasp!) actually juices oranges!...This review is from: DeLonghi DJE950 Die-cast Juice ExtractorThe large feeding tube makes this juice extractor easy to use (much less chopping and holds plenty). It's a snap to clean and looks really great on the counter. The best feature though is the amount of juice it actually extracts. The pulp left over is practically dry. I purchased a new juicer because of all the expensive juice that was left in the very wet pulp of my previous centrifugal juicer, even running the pulp through again. With perpendicular sides the DeLonghi's spinning basket holds the pulp until you remove it. It will continue to spin juice out for as long as you leave it spin or until the pulp becomes very dry. While you have to remove the pulp periodically, it is simple by gently pulling up on the pulp "cage" top edge in a few spots to loosen. The juice from this machine is clearer with less pulp than my previous juicer, probably because it gets filtered through whatever pulp has already accumulated. It is very fast and its large "mouth" allows much larger pieces and even whole moderate size fruit. Easy to clean, but care must be taken when cleaning the strainer basket to not cut or snag something on the shreding blade at its bottom. Cleans easily. This is a powerful machine, and it is heavy....
