I returned it after trying it a few times. Carrots would always get stuck in the bottom of the shoot and impede anything else including the stuck carrots from passing through to the blade. I had to keep stopping the juicer to pull the carrots out. I realized that everytime a put a carrot in the juicer, it would get stuck once it got juiced down to the right size to just sit at the bottom of the shoot. Ughhh...so I returned it and got the Jack La Lane "Elite." The only difference was that the "Elite" had a stainless steel cover...it had exactly the same problem..I would never, ever, recommend this juicer to anyone. I ended up going back to my Juiceman Jr which I have had for over 15 years. I had put it in a bag to take to Goodwill, but had to take it out again.I now have a Breville "elite". It DOES NOT JUICE greens well and there seems to be a lot of waste. I'm going to try another brand and if I am still dissatisfied will just stick with my old Juiceman Jr!...This review is from: Tristar 70-oz. After reading the specs on the L'Equip, I hoped for the best with Jack LaLane's Express. : /I've had several juicers over the years and the Express was actually a pretty nice machine. However it only worked for about a month. Customer Service was hard to run down but finally I was able to return it. Did I say I had to pay an extra $15 for only a 3 year warranty? That says a lot about the lack of confidence they had in their own product. The L'Equip comes with a 6 year warranty - for free. It's also slightly louder than the Express but not terribly so, but the motor is much stronger than the Express and has a higher RPM. The design is very much like the Juiceman Jr. except it has a wide feeder chute. However "wide feeder chute" is a misnomer because there's a wedge within the chute. Well obviously this defeats the purpose of having a wide chute to begin with since there's a wedge inside, but apparently the purpose of the wedge it to keep the produce from spinning around inside the chute. The high rpm occasionally results in produce being rapidly and violently being bounced back out of the chute but you adjust to that after a bit.The wedge inside the L'Equip is pretty much the only thing I dislike about this machine though. I enjoyed the wide chute on the Express and it made juicing quite fast, but you have to take an extra step of cutting to accommodate the wedge inside the L'Equip.It cleans well but you should remember to lift the bowl and pour out the little bit of extra juice that's left over when you're finished juicing. I like mine and use it regularly but all machines take some time to adjust to and overall in my opinion, this machine beats the Juiceman Jr and the Express....This review is from: L\'Equip Mini 110.5 Pulp Ejection Juicer Color: WhiteThis is a good juicer for the price. It does as well as advertised. The only cons are: if you are juicing a lot of fruit/veggies you need to clean out the pulp fairly frequently, you don't want your juicer to sit too long after using it (it is easiest to clean as soon as you are done juicing). I use a toothbrush to clean the blade/basket. The pros: Good quality, strong motor, makes great juice, and fits nicely into cabinets or onto the counter itself (good size). The pulp is usually very moist, and it is evident that more juice could be extracted from it. Overall, I gave this a 3-star rating, indicating that it is OK. It juices, which is what it is designed to do; it can accommodate whole apples up to a specific size, along with larger pieces of fruit/vegetables. My only problem is that it is not an efficient juicer. I am back on the market looking for one that would give me more juice from my fruits and vegetables, and less waste....

It has never disappointed us over the 3 years we have had it. We sometimes juice as many as 15-20 lbs at a time for the holidays when everyone is here and then send everyone home with a gallon at times. We met him at a health fair, tried vegetable juices (including wheatgrass juice) and realized that juicing was a great way to incorporate more vegetables into our diet. I mean, how much broccoli and salad can one person pound down in a day? Not so much. The Omega 8002 is a single gear machine that turns at a low 80 RPMs, a powerful, slow auger that doesn't heat up the food or cause the juice to foam. This protects the nutritional content of the juice from degradation. In addition, it is "multifunctional"--the juicer can also be employed to make baby food, meat pate, nut butter, or fine ground coffee. The machine is durable, said to be quiet, and has a 10-year guarantee. Sounds good, so we plunked down the cash and got the Omega juicer and set to work. So, how is it to USE the Omega? Well, it's EASY to put together, though there are quite a few parts and choices to make. Essentially, the steps are:1. Install the screw drive--the big green plastic spiral, into the plastic housing.2. Pop a juicing cone (a type of sieve) over the screw so it sits into the housing around the screw. This takes a bit of jockeying, but it drops in just fine. 3. Screw on the end cap and nozzle.4. Mount this housing onto the front of the juicer motor.5. Add the food platform on top of the feed tube on the housing.6. Put the two receiving pitchers underneath the housing; one for the pulp, one for the juice.Now it's ready to start juicing. 1. Cut up your vegetables into strips or pieces that will fit the 1.5 inch diameter of the feed tube. This means if you juice carrots, those tasty large ones need to be halved or quartered lengthwise. 2. Turn on the motor: it has a forward direction to drive the food OUT, and a reverse setting on the toggle switch to move the food back in case of a clog. I've never needed to do this.3. Push down the vegetables or other foods with the plunger which is included with the juicer. The food feeds along the screw, is broken up, and the juice is forced through the sieve (cone.) Out the nozzle comes the pulp. The juice flows out underneath, nearer to the motor. 4. When you are finished, turn off the motor, which is QUITE quiet--nothing like a blender or vacuum cleaner. More like the sound of a pasta maker or food processor, for comparison. Dismantle the machine and wash the parts. A big bottle brush is included for this, very helpful.5. Cleanup takes about 2-3 minutes and is mainly rinsing. The worse job is the sieve of the cone and even that doesn't take but a moment to swab off some pulp that clings to it. I do this ASAP, as I sip my juice, because letting pulp dry on the machine makes it hard to clean. I then reassemble it right then and there, and it's ready to go again.The Omega juices kale, which is a rather tough leafy dark green form of cabbage. We now can do wheatgrass, once we grow some or find a source of flats of it. Just for grins, I tried the blank cone and did some meat grinding. It makes a fine grind--not something you'd use for hamburger. It would work for soft, somewhat grainy baby food or pate. I did not try making pasta. How does it compare to spinning cup type models, like the Braun which we previously used for juicing?1. The spinning cup model (Braun) is LOUD, really loud. This is because the cup spins at a high speed and whines as a result. This is typical for the cup-type juicer. Sounds like a blender. 2. The cup model cannot juice wheatgrass--the tender stalks of growing wheat or barley that have a lot of antioxidants. It also can't do tough leafy vegetables such as kale.3. The cup model definitely does not extract as much juice from the vegetables and fruits as compared to the Omega. The pulp in the cup model is a wet slurry. The pulp from the Omega, by contrast, is like slightly moistened sawdust--definitely drier.In summary, the Omega juicer, while pricier than the typical spinning cup models, is quiet and effective. It gives you the ability to juice and grind things the spinning cup can't handle, like wheatgrass and if you want, meat. It extracts more juice--and at the prices for produce these days, especially if you buy organic produce, this is an important benefit. The juicer is relatively easy to clean and to assemble and use. If you are really serious about drinking vegetable juice or making fresh fruit juices and baby foods, I would say, this is a model to strongly consider over others. Compared to the low-end (and much less expensive) plastic Krupps version we replaced (which kept tripping our GFCI), I rate this product 4.5 stars out of 5. It falls just short of perfection, but is nonetheless the most elegant and functional citrus juicer I've been able to find at this price point.LIKES:1) Beautiful die-cast design feels substantial and stays put when pressing citrus. Kudos to the industrial design team for turning a juicer into a work of art. This is by far the best looking electric citrus press on the market.2) Brushed stainless exterior goes with any decor and looks great on countertop. No reason to store it away.3) Removable strainer and juice basin are easy to handwash (I recommend using a small brush or toothbrush to help clean out the pulp).4) Can press an 8-oz glass of orange juice in less than a minute and works with lemons, mandarins, oranges, and grapefruits without changing elements.AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:This juicer works well and beats others I've tried. However, there are a few areas that Breville engineers could improve in their next model. None of these recommendations should cause you to avoid purchasing this unit, but I list them here nonetheless since there's always room to improve most products: 1) Doesn't handle large grapefruit as well as I'd like. Still left some juice/pulp in the skin, which I squeezed out by hand. Breville could consider offering a larger snap-on attachment more suitably sized for pressing grapefruit.2) Sometimes the skin of the orange remains stuck inside the top of the press, requiring manual extraction. Maybe I'm pressing too hard, but this still seems to happen from time to time. On a few occasions, I stalled the motor completely which surprised me. However, stalling the motor didn't cause the GFCI to keep tripping like the Krupps model we replaced.3) The electrical cord is nicely designed, but a little too short. I'd prefer to see a 6' cord to reach to the nearest outlet while allowing flexibility in where to place the juicer on the countertop. 4) If you leave the juicer out on the countertop where there's a cabinet above, the handle (press) bangs against the top of the cabinet and requires a little finesse to pull it towards the edge of the countertop when you're ready to use it. The typical height between the countertop and bottom of a cabinet is 18" +/- 1" and often the face frame of the cabinet protrudes about 1/2" or so below the bottom of the cabinet underside. If Breville offered a locking position with the handle down, this wouldn't be a problem and it would be easier to slide out the juicer into position from the back of the counter.5) The handle itself seems a little flimsy when compared to the rest of the die-cast machine. While it's functional and certainly strong enough, I would prefer a solid convex die-cast handle arm (oval cross section) versus the inverted "U" type cross section of the current design. Although the current arm does appear to be die cast, during the extraction process, juice and pulp tend to splatter on the concave underside of the handle. This makes cleaning the handle a little harder than it should if the handle cross section were convex on top and bottom.Overall, this is an excellent product with bold design and good looks. I recommend this model to anyone who wants to add freshly squeezed citrus to your daily or weekly regimen. I can't comment on the long-term reliability of the motor since we've only had the unit for a few weeks. It is nicely finished in easy-to-clean stainless-steel, the lever action makes it less of a strain to get some pressure on the citrus, and it is fairly easy to clean the parts.I make about 1/2 - 1 cup of juice daily. After a couple of months, something bent or stretched or broke in the hinge mechanism, and it became a little loose. Everything kept working though.Well, the six month mark came yesteday, and it died. I juiced half of a lime, and when I put the other half in... nothing. I guess the internal switch that activates the motor when one depresses the lever failed.For $160, I would have hoped that it make to the one year mark. It is a well made and versatile workhorse that does everything from grinding grain to making peanut butter. However do not be fooled by the new machines. They look the same, but the interior configuration is different. It does not work the way it is supposed to, and the company doesn't care. Several years after I got my juicer, my mother-in-law wanted to get a better juicer than the centrifigual one she already had. Upon MY advice, she gave away her old, reliable juicer and bought a Champion. I was shocked that the motor sounded loose and rattly, and the pulp came out wet and drippy. Hardly any juice came out. It was obviously a piece of junk that was either broken, or poor quality, or both. I called Whole Foods, where it was purchased, and they said that they did not offer any warranties on their juicers. They advised me to contact Champion directly. When I called the Champion company, the person who answered the phone was rude and defensive. She said that they had "upgraded" the unit, and that the noise simply reflected the "better" motor. She flatly denied that the machine could possibly be defective, and she said that the company policy does not allow refunds. She claimed that we must be doing something wrong - it didn't matter that I already owned one and knew how it was supposed to work. My only choice was to ship this extremely heavy machine back to California (AT MY OWN EXPENSE), or accept it as is! So my unfortunate mother-in-law had given away her good juicer, and was stuck with one that barely worked. It languished in her cupboard for a long time, unused. Now, several years later, she is caring for a sick family member, and desperately needs fresh juice. We lugged it out, thinking that it was better than nothing, but when we plugged it in today, it wouldn't even turn on. The machine is totally dead, and she did not even get a single full glass of juice from it! Of course, the company claims that "nothing is wrong with the machine". My suggestion is that if you want a good juicer, buy an Omega, or purchase a used Champion that is more than 15 years old....This review is from: Champion Juicer G5-NG853S-ALMOND Household JuicerMy mom bought this juicer when my stepdad was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. She started doing several different fresh juices for us, all of which were wonderful! The juicer is very easy to use, and the pulp comes out completely dry.. My favorite fruit is green grapes. So sweet and frothy! I moved away from home for Law School, and she is mailing me the juicer, since I'm staring on a raw food diet. Click here for more informationThis review is from: L\'Equip 206 Citrus JuicerI bought this because we had just moved to citrus country (Fillmore, CA), and had lots and lots of free oranges, lemons and grapefruit to juice. I though it looked kind of cool, however when it arrived my wife informed me it was ugly. Oh well, I thought, we'll keep it out of sight but it should crank through the fruit! NOT!Within the first couple of weeks one of the welds broke and I had to send it back into the manufacturer. They replaced the part (a spout), but it's clear that the design is weak at this point and likely to break again. The reamer empties into a steel cup with two small tubes, to which the "penguin arms" attach. The act of attaching and removing the arms stresses the weld point where the tubes meet the cups. Additionally, the tubes are about the exact size of an orange seed, so it's common for them to clog up. Finally, it seems to overheat and quit for a few minutes after only a half-dozen fruit, then it has to sit for a while before we can use it again. Bummer....

It would vibrate and travel around the counter. It would be a huge hassle to clean. It would jam easily. It would require cutting things into tiny pieces.No more. I decided to try a "professional" juicer. There really is a difference. In power. In ease of use and cleaning. This fella is well built, and easy to clean. And the best part of this particular model: it's still reasonably sized for a home counter top, unlike the other professional juicers that are about twice as large.Wide input chute. Plenty of power. Solid. Good looking. Easy to clean, inside and out. The only plastic is in the plunger and disposal bin - and I generally just positioned the side chute to point directly over the garbage disposal. It can be turned to either side. Otherwise, it's stainless steel for the juicing chamber and juice chute, and solid metal, easy to clean, for the disposal chute and motor housing....
