This review is from: Kuvings Centrifugal JuicerKuvings Juicer NJ-9310U, FREE Shipping Available!I got this juicer as a birthday present and was over the moon about it. I intended to purchase the other juicer however the store was out of them. After I purchased this juicer, my parents saw how much better my juicer was than theirs. They immediately purchased Kuvings Juicer. This was an amazing juicer, I've ever seen. When I first met this, it came well packed. The juicer was very easy to set up and use even without reading the manual. I made fresh juice every morning with ease. I stucked in a whole apple and the juicer made a cup of apple juice like nothing. The juice was surprisingly smooth. I was very impressed. A powerful motor seemed to shred evreythng. I was really satisfied the noise of the powerful motor. It was also very easy to clean up. It just took all of 5 minutes if you're through. Even comes with its own scrub brush. It worked very well to scrub the metal inner piece that strains the juice. This was the only part I washed by hand. It could be rinsed and put through the dishwasher. The juice is very smooth and frothy. I highly recommend this juicer to friends!...This review is from: Kuvings Centrifugal JuicerI bought this juicer from Amazon back in August and have been moderately using it twice a week for the past three months in order to give it the best possible review.I had no experience with juicers and compared various reviews to finally make up my mind buying this one. I am glad I made the right decision. The two previous reviewers have said most of what I want to say. However I want to caution users to set it on a non-slip surface when using the high speed to juice fruits with peels on. Since the motor is kind of powerful, it will vibrate violently if a piece of peel is not ejected out of the basket quickly (like apples and oranges). I always peel and cut my oranges in half. The apples can be simply cut and juiced. I have no problem with celery and carrots at any speed. I use high speed for Honeydew and melon. Watch the bin and empty it as often as you can.I like the design. It gives vivace accent to my kitchen countertop.I highly recommend it....This review is from: Kuvings Centrifugal JuicerI just received my Kuvings Juicer the other day and used it for the first time this morning. It is everything they say it is - it's fast, easy to use, easy to take apart and clean. No tiny, fussy pieces to scrub. It's LOUD, but it's because it spins so fast to extract every drop of juice in whatever you throw in it - and the mesh screen the juice passes through is the finest I've seen so far - so the juice you end up with, even if it's thick is very smooth. I especially love the huge feed tube on it - I juiced a half of a honeydew melon this morning [only had to cut it up into 3 pieces!], rind and all and it ground it up like butter. My previous juicer was a very expensive Green Power juicer that was much more complicated to use, with a lot more parts, took up a LOT more room on the counter and wasn't nearly as good [at 4x the cost of this one!]. I honestly cannot WAIT to use it again. Love it. Highly recommend it....

Green Queen Wheatgrass Juicer - Home Model Electric Wheatgrass Juicer

This review is from: Green Queen Wheatgrass Juicer - Home Model Electric Wheatgrass JuicerI've been drinking wheatgrass for years, but I only recently decided to start juicing it at home. I have to admit, at first I thought it might be difficult, but this machine makes it really easy. I can put it together, juice a few ounces, and clean it within a few minutes. Its also a lot cheaper than many of the other juicers like it, but it works just as good if not better. Its also really small so it doesn't take up too much space in my kitchen. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to juice wheatgrass at home....This review is from: Green Queen Wheatgrass Juicer - Home Model Electric Wheatgrass JuicerI've had this machine for about 2 years. It's a great machine, very easy to assemble, clean, and juice. Don't stuff it with grass other wise some of the parts will break but if this machine is taken care of it's the perfect little machine to have....This review is from: Green Queen Wheatgrass Juicer - Home Model Electric Wheatgrass JuicerOn the plus side it was very easy to assemble and then disassemble and clean. However it completely failed at it's main goal which is to juice wheatgrass. I put a whole 4 inch x 4 inch tray of wheatgrass in, slowly as to not jam the machine, and it eventually dribbled out 4 drops of juice and a rope of wadded up wheatgrass. I called the support line and they said it was working properly and that I just needed to put in more wheatgrass. A commercial juicer would have gotten 3 or 4 ounces out of the amount of wheatgrass I put in instead of the 4 measly drops I got. Don't buy this product it's a waste of time, Get a cheaper hand cranked juicer or splurge on a commercial masticating juicer....

This review is from: Koolatron KMJ-01 Total Chef Jucin\' Power Juicer, Stainless SteelI have never owned a juicer before but I carefully researched and read all the reviews before purchasing this one. I didn't want to spend a ton of money and found this one to be moderately priced. I have to say I was amazed that it lived up to everything I expected from it! It is very nice looking and incredibly easy to clean. Even the sifter bowl I read could be tricky to clean but one scrub of my dish wand and it is spotless. Everything else just rinses clean in hot water. I have juiced every type of hard and leafy veggie and every fruit imaginable. I do chop my larger items into more managable sizes...but this is not a drawback for me. Very fast and easy to use.Great machine!...This review is from: Koolatron KMJ-01 Total Chef Jucin\' Power Juicer, Stainless SteelI just got this as a wedding shower gift, and I love it! It's easy to use, and the clean up is not nearly as bad as I was expecting. The filter is a little hard to clean, but I've been soaking it in hot soapy water for 20 to 30 minutes and then cleaning it with a toothbrush and it has worked great. My fiancé isn't thrilled with the cost involved with juicing, but it's worth the trade-off. With this juicer, you can make 1 small glass of apple juice with 2 large apples. That's really not unreasonable....This review is from: Koolatron KMJ-01 Total Chef Jucin\' Power Juicer, Stainless SteelThis juicer works very well for the price. I recently went on a 10 day juicing fast. Using the Koolatron Total Chef juicer I was yielding the following: 3 medium nectarines yielded 9ozs of juice, 2 medium apples yielded 6 1/2ozs, 3 cups of grapes yielded 8ozs, and 6 medium carrots yielded 6ozs. The Koolatron did not do as well with leafy vegetables. It would take a whole batch of kale to yield 5ozs. Since I was going through a lot of vegetables, I decided I should purchase a juicer that yielded more from leafy vegetables. I purchased the Omega J8005 juicer which cost $258.00, which is substantially more than the Koolatron. Here are the yields I received from the Omega: 3 medium nectarines yielded 12ozs, 2 medium apples yielded 8ozs, 8 kale leaves yielded 6 1/2ozs, and 30 spinach leaves yielded 2 1/2ozs.A friend got sick and wanted to start juicing for health reasons. I gave her my Omega J8005. Which left me with the Koolatron again. The Omega J8005 have a 1 1/2 wide chute for feeding the fruits and vegetables into the juicer so I had to cut up everything into small pieces. Whereas the Koolatron's chute is 3 inches wide so I was only cutting things up to fit into the chute. I decided to trying cutting up my fruit and vegetables into small pieces when feeding them through the Koolatron chute to see if I could increase the amount of juice produced. Here is the amount of juice I yielded after cutting my fruits and vegetables into small pieces: 6 medium carrots yielded 8ozes (2ozs more), 2 medium apples yielded 8 1/2ozs (2ozs more and 1/2oz more than the Omega J8005).I was able to get more juice out of my fruits and vegetables from the Koolatron by cutting them into smaller pieces. The other mistake I was making was using the plunger to force the fruits and vegetables down. Instead, drop the items down the chute and let the juicer take its time. Also, don't over fill the chute; let the items bounce around. Use the plunger to cover the chute opening so the items don't pop out. Using this technique I was able to yield more juice from even the leafy vegetables. The Omega J8005 still yields more juice from leafy vegetables than the Koolatron, but I am very impressed with the Koolatron now that I know how to use it correctly....

Omega O2 Household Pulp Ejector Juicer

This review is from: Omega O2 Household Pulp Ejector JuicerI have searched thru hundreds of reviews on a dozen different juicers, and after purchasing the Omega 02 I felt it deserved a little boost to its overall grade.I have now owned 5 different juicers under the $135 price tag: a department store model; a highly rated 700 watt stainless model available almost everywhere under many names; a OK/nice LeQuip model: the Jack LaLanne model, and now this Omega 02. What a difference it is too.To begin with, it is by far the best packaged item of all five of them (LeQuip was good). It looks clean and has nice body lines, and works smooth. In comparison, the cheapy is what it is...not much. The all stainless model was not all that well made for the price and jumped all over the place...It did have a similar basket similar to the Omega, but it had a plastic mounting ring and a lightweight blade. The LeQuip is similar to this Omega, but more money and a couple little issues that make it number two on my list. And finally, the Jack LaLanne...it worked OK at first, but with a cheap plastic basket/blade assembly and only a 60 day full warranty it is not worth it at any price. The Jack L is so over-hyped that I would recommend most anything over that device! So, what is good about the Omega 02? It is compact and does not use a lot of counter space. But it does everything the 3" mouth model can do (in the form of juicing the way a good one should), except you have to cut apples and beets down into slices. And besides, if you juice a lot of apples it is wise not to eat all of those seeds over time(there is much mention of accumulating poison from some seeds)...and lets face it, if you have a big mouth juicer you are going to get lazy and just drop them in seeds and all. Also, other larger fruits that might have a large seed are going to wind up getting chopped and not juiced whole anyway...so cutting is not a really big deal. What else? It cleans up a LOT easier than the Jack L...largely due to the way the pulp is thrown out of the back and most of it goes straight into the catcher, the way it is supposed to do. **A note for any juicer, put a plastic bag in the catcher and tie it up over the top to make clean up easier and you can save the pulp for compost or meatloaf, etc.** Anyway, some of the tops on other machines get jammed with pulp or have corners that make them hard to clean out. If you can visually see the design of a cover you can more easily determine if it is a smooth arc or a sharply angled model...the smoother the better. How about power? This version of an Omega has a 1/3 hp, 6300 rpm motor. The Jack L and other cheapies have smaller 1/4 or less motors and some still crank the rpm's to compensate (not good). There is much discussion about rpm's and that lower is better (for reducing oxidation)...but, you cannot find a centrifugal pulp ejector model that is slow enough to compete with the masticator/auger types with reducing the oxidation. So, you need to choose one that can at least separate the juice from the pulp but not be too weak to break. This is why I chose the Omega 02...it is not the full 11,000 rpm 1/3 or 1/2 hp model but it is powerful enough to do the job and strong enough to last as well. Also, don't get caught up in wattage comparisons...watts do not translate directly into horsepower. To grind up tough fruit and veggies, you need horsepower. If I had to choose another model to replace this one (in the same price range) I would definitely choose this Omega 02 again. With that said, there are a couple small items to address. First of all, get the black version instead of the white. Or plan to buy the black plastic bowl ring later. This piece of plastic will get stained in short order from carrots and other similar veggies. But it is just a little stain ring around the inside where the basket rides, not bad like other brands. The black plastic will not show this and stay newer looking, longer. But, I will say that even stainless appliances will show wear over time, so use it and enjoy it anyway. Secondly, there is occasional juice that seeps out around the bottom lip of the bowl ring (mentioned above) and the stainless bowl, BUT I have come up with a quick fix: put a small amount of vaseline around the rim of the stainless bowl and then place the white (or black) plastic ring on top before setting the basket and blade into place. Juice will not seep out, and it will not come in contact with your juice either. It does not affect cleanup! When it is time to break the unit down, it merely washes off in hot water. FYI, the LeQuips have the plastic ring formed onto the stainless bowl...stops the seepage, but is a real pain to clean since it does not come off of the bowl.OK, hopefully that is enough to make it worth your time reading this whole thing and help in decision making.I would recommend the Omega 02 to anyone...I got it for $90 shipped and I would only consider a couple of other models over this one (maybe) but they will cost 2 to 21/2 times this price (Omega Big Mouth or 4000). And the only reason for considering them is a longer warranty (10 or 15 instead of 3) and larger machines for a little more processing power (but I didn't need more)....This review is from: Omega O2 Household Pulp Ejector JuicerThis product while very sturdy, is otherwise hard to recommend. The unit is very difficult to clean, given that it takes so many vegetables or oranges, etc. to make it worth the time and energy to enjoy the results. It is on the "I wish I hadn't bought it..who can I give it to..." category of un-used appliances. Also the sender of this Amazon purchased item sent it quite casually wrapped..that's why I could praise its sturdiness!...

Juiceman Jr. Automatic Juice Extractor

This review is from: Juiceman Jr. Automatic Juice ExtractorThis juicer is good for someone who isn't sure if juicing is for them. It gives you the opportunity to try various juice recipes without investing a lot of money in the more expensive juicers. I would recommend you get a juicing book as a companion to the juicer, as some parts of fruits shouldn't be juiced. (apple core/seeds)It is a chore to clean, however we found that using a toothbrush to clean the strainer was a big help. When juicing apples in your mixture, it's best to use them as the last ingredient, they tend to clog up the strainer more than other fruits/vegetables. Don't put pineapple rinds through the juicer, they will dull the blades. We've used this juicer for about 2 years, then bought the juiceman II. It has a more powerful motor, and is a bit larger....This review is from: Juiceman Jr. Automatic Juice ExtractorThe mesh clogs easily, causing the machine to vibrate wildly only after a few slices of beet or apple - I had to stop it because it fealt it might desintegrate. This means that for anything than a cup or so of juice it is not the appliance to use.I used it with carrots, apples, beet, cabbage, celery. For just over 3 cups of juice mixing all of the above, I had to stop and clean the mesh at least 4 times. This is not acceptable, because I prepared the fruits and the veggies more than I should have: peeled the apples, peeled the beet root, removed the apple seeds before juicing.... With my current Juiceman II that I got after returning the Jr, there is no such problem (although there are others - I'll try to write a review for it too). The motor is OK if you are not in a hurry, but you need to be gentle with it - it slows down quite a bit when juicing hard produce such as carrots......This review is from: Juiceman Jr. Automatic Juice ExtractorThis juicer does its job and is durable, but I would recommend that you pay a little more to get a juicer with two speeds. I bought a bag of lemons and decided to juice them for cooking. As soon as I put half a lemon into the machine, the machine spit some juice and pulp back up the insertion hole, even before I had a chance to put the plunger in. It made a mess very quickly. I think if the juicer had a slower speed, this problem would have decreased. Also, the ejected lemon pulp in the pulp bin was more wet and runny than I expected. I thought the ejected lemon pulp would be moist but not wet because the machine would suck out all the juice. Again, slower speed would have sucked out more juice out of a juicy lemon. This unit is as noisy as one of those louder hair dryers....

Champion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S - BLACK MODEL

This review is from: Champion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S - BLACK MODELI have only had the Champion household juicer for about a month now but am using it daily and really like it! We have tried many different fruits and veggie drinks with much success. I usually make juice for the four of us every morning, and my kids love waking up to fresh tasty juices. We also have made sorbets for dessert--yum! My only negative experience so far is that while trying to make almond meal, the motor really heated up and started to smell. The heat from the motor affected the flavor of the small amount of almond paste I did create. I haven't tried any other nuts for fear of burning out the motor. If you mainly want great tasting fruit and vegetable juice, I would highly recommend it!...This review is from: Champion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S - BLACK MODELChampion juicer was recommended by a friend, and she was RIGHT!! VERY easy to put together, AND, more importantly, to clean!!!!...This review is from: Champion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S - BLACK MODELThis is the worst juicer ever. I was making 32 ounces of juice, a mixture of veg, fruit, and leafy greens. I was alternating items and allowing time for the machine to work, as instructed. The "champion" took 30 minutes to make that amount of juice! and i had to stop and rinse the machine off to cool it. The juice was literally steaming hot. NOT a hot idea for a raw foodist! The super crappy part is that you cant return used juicers. DO NOT BUY THIS JUICER! I would not even sell it to anyone, it sucks so much that I would feel guilty!...

Breville Refurbished Dual Disc Juice Processor

This review is from: Breville Refurbished Dual Disc Juice ProcessorSince we have this Juicer my wife can't stop using it. We haven't drink or eat so much fruit and vegetable we were born....This review is from: Breville Refurbished Dual Disc Juice ProcessorI bought a "reconditioned" machine. Now one has to wonder where do reconditioned machines come from? Probably returns that were tested and resold. Why are so many being returned? (probably because this juicer doesn't work very well) In any case, the juicer I received did juice hard fruits and vegetables fine but the puree disc didn't work at all. What I mean is, it rotated and the juicer appeared to function as it should, except what came out was lumpy, wasn't blended and had seeds in it. Ok I guess when you use the puree disc you should only feed material into the juicer that you want in your drink, so, no seeds or pith. Still, it should at least be smooth and blended, right? I mean, that's not too much to expect is it? Yeah, so I returned it. It juices hard fruit and veg fine, but why spend $200 for that? Just buy the $100 compact version that probably does the exact same thing....This review is from: Breville Refurbished Dual Disc Juice ProcessorBuy this juicer and use it everday. You will see a big difference in your overall appearance. I own one for each home. It beats carrying it from place to place....

Omega 1000 Juicer

This review is from: Omega 1000 JuicerMy experience is limited to the Omega 1000 and 4000. Both are very good machines, but one of them has some distinct advantages. As the other reviewers have noted, this machine is very solidly built & should easily outlast the 15 year warranty. In fact, it might outlive the 4000.Why? Because the 4000 is so much more pleasant to use that you will use it more, because the operating principle is a little different. Both machines have a chute that you feed fruits & vegatables into. At the bottom of the chute is a stainless steel disc/blade that grinds up the food into a pulp. On the 1000 model, the pulp is thrown out by centrifugal force into a drum that is just like a washing machine drum - it is perforated stainless that traps the pulp on the inside and allows the juice to strain out. Just like on a washing machine spin cycle, it is possible to get the contents out of balance so that the whole machine shakes & makes a real racket! This is very easy to do on the 1000 if you load apples or other foods with skins, because the skin will often stay intact so it has to go on one spot on the drum, throwing it out of balance like a pair of jeans. There are some "tricks" that help in this case, such as saving some carrots for this emergency. Many times feeding a carrot will stop the shaking.Another consequence of the "spin-cycle" approach is that after you have feed a few pieces of fruit, the pulp in the drum can clog, trapping all the juice inside. This happens especially when you try to juice bananas, pineapple or strawberries. I am able to do strawberries & bananas with the 4000 as long as I alternate fruits. The bananas still goo up the insides, but a couple slices of apple get things flowing again. With the 1000, it was a lost cause. The model 4000 works differently because the spinning drum is cone-shaped, which forces the pulp to ride up the sides of the drum for a brief period & then it flies out into a pulp ejector chute. This means the 4000 never gets the shakes like the 1000, and also the drum stays much cleaner, which allows you to keep juicing much longer. For example, this morning I juiced apples, carrots, celery and grapes in that order on both the 4000 and 1000. Although in both cases I got exactly 12.5 ounces of juice, the juice from the 1000 had no grape color and less grape flavor, because a thick layer of pulp had built up on the inside, which absorbed most of the grape juice. The other advantage of the 4000 is that it when you turn it off, it stops in just a few seconds. On the 1000, it continues to spin for much longer because of the heavy food in the drum, dribbling all the while and sometimes walking across your countertop! So I give 5 stars to the 4000, and only 4 stars to the 1000. The 1000 does have an optional citrus juicing attachment that is rather nice. If you can't stand pulp, the 1000 also accepts some very inexpensive coffee-filter-like filters that virtually eliminate pulp from the apple-carrot-celery etc. types of juices and make cleanup easier. You really can't use them with tomatoes, strawberries, etc., because it will clog instantly.Cleanup is pretty easy on both, once you get the hang of it. The only tricky part is getting the pulp out of the strainer. I use a stainless scrubby pad gently on both sides, which seems to work well on both models. The 1000 is better than I am describing, but loses a star for occasional vices....This review is from: Omega 1000 JuicerThis juicer has been great. It juices anything we throw at it. Very powerful motor. Very little vibration. Super high quality! We've made all kinds of juices, but especially like vegetable (beets, carrots, etc.) and fruit (cherries, strawberries, etc.) mixes. The only drawback I've found is that the basket that holds the pulp is a little hard to clean. It's not as bad as it could be, but does require a bit of time to get all the pulp out. We've found that a vegetable (stiff bristled) brush makes this go a lot faster.I didn't rate it 5 stars because of that (somewhat hard to clean) and also that the capacity of juicing is smaller than what some people might need. I suspect you could get about 2, maybe 3 cups of juice before having to remove the pulp. If you wanted more you could just start over. I can imagine for some people (or commercial operations) this would be a drawback. If I were to get another juicer, I'd definitely buy an Omega. The quality surpasses others I have seen....This review is from: Omega 1000 JuicerI've had my Omega 1000 juicer for about a year. I used it around 30 times when POOF! That was it, the motor burned out. Then I spent five minutes on the Web to discover that it's a "1/3 horsepower" juicer. That's a little less than 250 watts. Other models like the L'Equip 110.5 Mini Pulp Ejector Juicer (rated better and less expensive than the Omega 1000) put out 600 watts. Even the Omega 8005 produces only 1/3 horsepower. If you go to Bizrate.com, on the page where the 8005 is displayed, it posts a power rating of 1/3 hp. Yet if you click on the "What's this?" next to the "Power" heading, you're told: "Power: Determine the wattage rating on the juicer. If you're juicing hard produce, the more watts, the better. A motor rating of 450 watts or greater is recommended." Translated to hp, Bizrate.com recommends a bit more than 1/2 horsepower as the minimum acceptable hp. Shame on me for not spending the time to research this before buying.I'm not abusive with mechanical devices. I was grinding a tough material, parsley. That's supposed to be OK. I let up evertime the RPM's slowed significantly, i.e., I was careful. Bizrate.com's advice is right on the mark: 250 watts (1/3 hp) just isn't enough. Don't buy this or any sub-.5 hp juicer unless you're juicing material that's already soft....

Samson Ultra Electric Twin Gear Wheatgrass Juicer - Perfect Juice Machine for Juicing Fruits, Vegeta

This review is from: Samson Ultra Electric Twin Gear Wheatgrass Juicer - Perfect Juice Machine for Juicing Fruits, Vegetables, Wheat Grass, Barley Grass & More.I received my juicer as ordered. It came with a demonstration Dvd which I believe was very helpful in understanding the machine and the multiple things it can do. I proceeded to juicing some fruits and vegetables. It is much easier than my single gear juicer that I had. I no longer have to cut everything into bite size pieces before juicing. the parts take more time to clean compared to my old juicer. I tried without success to remove the carrot stain from the white machine and the parts. I regret that they did not offer a variety of colors to choose from until I received the brochure that showed the juicer in multiple colors. I would have gotten the red instead of the white. But if you do not mind carrot stain on your unit, then its fine. I had to apply some pressure to the plunger to get the carrots down. I finally fiqured a way to aim the carrot precisely between the two gears to allow the gears to pull the carrots and other items down. The quality of the juice is noticable different from my old juicer. There was minimal to no froth on the top of the juice. I have been through several juicers personally from J'man jr. to single gear masticators to champions and finally to this. The price was much lower than I saw advertised elsewhere but it's still expensive. I'm not bursting with joy yet but I'll see....

This review is from: Waring Health Professional Juice Extractor (New, Exclusive)I bought the Waring Pro Professional Juice Extractor JEX328 to use when I visit the USA. I originally wanted to buy L'Equip Mini Pulp Ejector Juicer, an excellent juicer that I use at home in the UK, but it was a bit pricey so I found a reconditioned Waring at a very good price on the internet (approx. $25).Pros: sturdy / easy to use / comes with spout cleaner and its own jug which the L'Equip does notCons: Bit noisy / quite large and cumbersome / takes longer to clean than the L'Equip / lower yield than the L'Equip and some chunks of fruit and vegetables found in waste basket / pusher tends to stick sometimesAlthough I definitely notice a difference between the two machines, I enjoy using the Waring, and consider it a good juicer for the price I paid....

This review is from: Omega BMJ330 Commercial 350-Watt Stainless-Steel Pulp-Ejection JuicerFirst, let me say that I am not new to juicing. I have an old Omega, I think it's the 1000 model. It is a centrifugal juicer without pulp ejection. I also have a Breville "wide mouth" (which I don't like), and an Omega 8006. So, I know how to put the parts together and I am very experienced with juicing.I think my Omega Big Mouth juicer (this product) may be defective. The blade shaves off plastic from the bottom of the top piece. In addition, there is side leakage. I juiced beets, and red juice spilled out of the side, down onto the power switch area, and onto my counter.I wanted this juicer to complement my Omega 8006. There are times that I don't want to do the cutting that the 8006 requires, so I wanted to use the Omega Big Mouth for those times. But obviously I don't want to consume plastic shavings and have juice spill over my counter.I did place everything very precisely and made sure that it wasn't "user error". As I said above, I am very experienced with juicing, and this is the first juicer that I've used that has ever ended up juicing plastic and spilling while juicing.Update:The plastic shavings that came off have embedded themselves in the centrifugal sides. I am watching TV tonight while trying to remove them. Even a nylon brush is having trouble removing them. This is not the new-juicer-experience that I was looking for when I bought this juicer.Update:Many of the plastic shavings are not coming off the screen. I don't know the physics involved, but maybe it's because plastic shavings at 12,000 rpm hitting the screen may have permanently embedded in to the screen. This juicer is ruined, and I only got to use it once.Update:Now the juicer has a hard time turning on. I know that it has to be assembled correctly for it to turn on, as a safety measure. I've used other juicers before, including the Omega 1000, so assembling a juicer is nothing new to me. This one is clearly defective. Unfortunately, I have the box for the juicer, but not the styrofoam that goes in the box for packaging. I bought it from [...] and don't know if I will be able to return it. All I would want is a replacement juicer that works....This review is from: Omega BMJ330 Commercial 350-Watt Stainless-Steel Pulp-Ejection JuicerI bought this juicer based on a youtube video and not realizing that he was just a salesman for Omega. I must say I am not very happy with this juicer as the juice, like a another poster said goes all over the place. I also had to return my juicer after a month because it started to eat the top cover. You would think that after a year some of these things would have gotten ironed out but I am sad to say that so far this juicer still needs some work. Customer service was good and replaced my juicer right away but I have not used it yet as I have to figure out how to stop the juice from going all over my kitchen....This review is from: Omega BMJ330 Commercial 350-Watt Stainless-Steel Pulp-Ejection Juicerafter literally spending days (total hours spent) researching through all the types of juicers and reading all kinds of reviews and watching videos, i finally decided to go with the omega big mouth. the 10 year warranty is nearly unsurpassed and with this investment i would feel unsafe with 1 year or less warranties. i was a little weary with the negative reviews but went ahead and got it. I am new to juicing but from what i can tell it does a great job. i love my juicer the pulp is very dry (some moisture) but got most of the juice. I don't have the problem with juice flying all over and its very easy to clean and assemble. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into juicing!!!...

This review is from: Omega 4000 Stainless-Steel 1/3-HP Continuous Pulp-Ejection JuicerMy experience is limited to the Omega 1000 and 4000. Both are very good machines, but one of them has some distinct advantages. As the other reviewers have noted, this machine is very solidly built & should easily outlast the 15 year warranty. However, I think the model 1000 will probably last even longer. Why? Although in both cases I got exactly 12.5 ounces of juice, the juice from the 1000 had no grape color and less grape flavor. If you can't stand pulp, the 1000 also accepts some very inexpensive coffe-filter-like filters that virtually eliminate pulp from the apple-carrot-celery etc. types of juices. You really can't use it with tomatoes, strawberries, etc., because it will clog instantly.Cleanup is pretty easy on both, once you get the hang of it. The only tricky part is getting the pulp out of the strainer. I use a stainless scrubby pad gently on both sides, which seems to work well on both models. The 4000 gets the nod because it doesn't have any vices....This review is from: Omega 4000 Stainless-Steel 1/3-HP Continuous Pulp-Ejection JuicerI got this juicer about a month ago, and I have been enjoying a fresh-squeezed juice ever since.Having read all the great reviews here, I was a little disappointed with the fact that the pulp that comes out of it is far from being dry. In fact, it makes sense to throw that pulp back in to get some more juice out of it. For a "professional grade machine", I expected better performance in this area. The chute for throwing in the fruits/veggies is a little small. If you think about throwing in a whole apple, forget about it. It has to be split at least in 4 to get in.I found that the juicer's ejection tunnel gets clogged up with pulp fairly easily, so you often have to stop and clean it in up in order to continue to juice efficiently.Important note about 15-year warranty. It's only for motor. All other parts carry 1-year warranty. The machine is fairly loud, but that's what you expect of most juice extractors.Cleaning is easy except for the strainer. It takes a bit more work and it is recommended to leave it for a while in soapy water before cleaning.I like the fact that it's made in U.S.A., in fact it is "Made in U.S.A with pride". :)* Update Nov 5, 2004*Someone noted that my statement about warranty is incorrect. Here's an exerpt from the product manual:"...The Basket and Blade assembly is warranted for one (1) year. Plastic parts warped due to high heat will not be covered under the warranty. This warranty does not cover breakage of any part in shipment or damage cause by misuse.A service charge of $10.00 must accompany any unit over one (1) year old..."If you remove "The Basket and Blade assembly" from the product, the only remaining part is the motor assembly. Hence, this is the only part that is warranted for fifteen (15) years....This review is from: Omega 4000 Stainless-Steel 1/3-HP Continuous Pulp-Ejection JuicerWhen I worked at a health food store, we sold more of these juicers than any other kind. They come with an incredible warranty, and they seem to last forever. It wouldn't be uncommon to see someone come in and ask if we carried parts...

Average Customer Review:

This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USAI am a juicing fanatic! So naturally I wanted to try all of the juicers and comparison shop before I bought my own. I must say, the Braun Juice Extractor takes the cake! Here's why:1. This Juicer is easy to assemble: the Juiceman Jr always was difficult to connect all of the parts together.2. This Juicer is easy to DISassemble: Trying to take the rotating mesh blade off of the Juiceman Jr is a pain (and can be painfull!)3. The design is VERY spacesaving and ergonomically correct: The Juiceman Jr has a large, unnatached bin and normal glass that doesn't fit or store well with the juicer unit. The Braun Juice Extractor however, fits together in all one base unit, and even the pouring bin that recieves the juice snuggly fits against the juicer unit.4. The REALLY cool foam strainer: This is the best part! If you've ever juiced, you know what a pain the foam at the top is! You can't get rid of the foam without actually straining it or scooping it away; you can kiss that foam goodbye with the strainer!5. The detachable tray at the top allows you to hold your fruit and veggies without messing up other bowls and cutting boards. 6. It's just better that all the rest! Try it, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!...This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USAI bought this juicer based on 2 factors, (1) Recommendations and (2) Price. I shopped for a few weeks for this appliance and tested out many juicers at stores in town.I waited for about a month after I bought this product to write my review because I wanted to provide a different perspective (from experience) other than a review from someone who just got the juicer. Please read the other reviews for this product - they are very descriptive. For a first juicer (which this is for me), this is a great product. It has worked without flaw or failure for me for about a month. I make juice 2-3 times a day and use mostly vegatables (carrots, beets, parsely, cabbage, etc) - this juicer has never stopped or given even a minute of trouble. It is easy to clean up and I can't describe how great the design is. It is easy to use, and unlike more expensive juicers, I won't feel back about having to replace it a year or two from now because it has a great price. If you want a first time juicer, this is the machine for you, I recommend it without any reservation....This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USAThe design of this juicer is pure excellence. Very attractive, light, and compact, it takes up less space than any of the others I've seen, and the ease of cleaning it makes me not mind using it 3 or 4 times a day; and it is the thoroughness of the cleaning that puts this machine way above the the rest. I have owned other juicers, and ended up throwing them away, because of the nooks and crannies that were impossible to get to, and accumulated "suspicious substances". Usually the juice spout was the problem area, and in this case, it is short and open, giving you easy access for cleaning.Quick to take apart and assemble, with it's handy "filling tray" and cup with foam separator, it has a slot for cord storage, and though it does make a noise while proccessing, it doesn't sound like a sand blaster, as some others do.As much as I like the terrific Braun blender I bought a few months ago, I'm equally pleased with this. Juicing gives you the most nutrition for the least amount of stress on your digestive system, so it's a great way to get your enzymes, minerals and vitamins, and this is by far the best and simplest machine to get those precious liquids from....

Champion Commercial Juicer G5-PG-710 - SILVER MODEL (MAR-48C)

This review is from: Champion Commercial Juicer G5-PG-710 - SILVER MODEL (MAR-48C)As a natural therapist I have had juicers that cost from $2,600 down to $99. This includes the Norwark, J&J Green Power and the Champion. The reason I recommend Champion juicers is due to the fact that they are the ones that I have found most people will use regularly. this is because the juice is tasty, the power of the motor makes them tough and long-lasting, and they are fairly easy to clean. Plus they can make the frozen fruit ice cream with a Champion. I just bought one for my adult daughter and she is thrilled. My first Chapmpion is still going strong after 20 years of nearly daily use. It makes good quality juice, fast and easy. I have used mine to prepare juice for up to 20 people and never had one problem with it.Cleaning is easy. Assembly is easy. I never filter my juice. Taste is great if you use good quality fruits and vegetables. If you want a juicer that will last your lifetime I can highly recommend this one....This review is from: Champion Commercial Juicer G5-PG-710 - SILVER MODEL (MAR-48C)I inherited my mom's Jack LaLanne juicer not too long ago and decided to start juicing for the family. My sister enjoyed the juice so much that she "stole" my juicer and I went and got a Champion Juicer. I'm happier with the Champion juicer, but there are still some things I miss about the LaLanne juicer. Juice - Champion juice is much thicker and does not waste a single bit of juice in the fruits/veggies. Everyone says they like it better and it's more filling than the LaLanne juice. Though you can easily strain it if you don't like thick juice. I also notice I can get more juice out of fruits and veggies than before. Cleaning - Champion is 100 times easier to clean up. LaLanne would just spit the juice out of the spout and end up all over the wall, counter, etc. Also, I would struggle to take apart the LaLanne machine to clean all the different parts. Champion, you just pull out the spout and take it apart in the sink. Very easy cleaning.Food chute - With LaLanne, I could drop in nice large sizes and fill it up then plunger it in. Now I have to take a little longer in prep to make sure it all fits into Champion's small chute. Noise - Champion is much quieter and since I juice in the early morning, I no longer have to worry about waking anyone up.Constant juicing - Surprisingly I had no problems juicing everything non stop in my LaLanne juicer. When I juice certain items (celery, pineapple) in the Champion, I will have to clean out the inside before juicing anything else as the fibers will jam up the blades making them almost useless. Also, if you juice a lot of stuff at once (I make about 8-14 cups at a time) you will notice it gets harder and the pulp starts backing up into the food chute. All in all, I'm much happier with my champion and juicing actually seems a bit more fun. If you were thinking about upgrading your juicer or starting off big, then Champion is definitely worth it. If you just want a basic juicer that makes good juice, than the LaLanne juicer is more than adequate....This review is from: Champion Commercial Juicer G5-PG-710 - SILVER MODEL (MAR-48C)I just made a first batch of juice on my newly arrived Champion Commercial Juicer. Perhaps I had too high expectations for the masticating juicer as I've mostly used Breville brand which I love (centrifugal). It was dissapointing to see how much juice was still contained in the pulp and how much pulp seeped into the juice itself. I am not particularly crazy about straining my juice after it comes out of the juicer. The feeding tube is so tiny you have to quarter an apple for it to fit in. Not as easy to clean as Breville either, even though it's definitely a plus that you don't have to worry about the pulp collecting in the juicer and can go on indefinitely. At least that's what I hear. Still my main qualms are the fact that it takes a rather long time to juice on this juicer and the quality of the juice itself, I like mine as free of pulp as possible....

At first everything was great-fast and easy. Then the Wheatgrass started wrapping around the osalator (sp?) and I would have to take it apart and unwrap the grass and rejuice. It started happening everytime, so I called the company, that was wonderful about the situation. The gentleman made a few suggestions and when they didn't work he sent me a whole new machine, even without returning the old one. Again, after a few great experiences, this one did the same thing but much less frequently. I buy my wheatgrass from a local farmer and I have only used his. So I am wondering if this problem could be with the wheatgrass itself? Not sure, but this has been my experience. The company has wonderful customer service which I greatly appreciated....This review is from: Miracle Electric Wheatgrass Juicer - The MJ 550 Miracle wheatgrass juicer is considered by many to be one of the best wheatgrass juicers on the market - Perfect for those beginner or advanced in wheat grass juicing - Enjoy all the benefits of juicing wheatgrass from home. The Miracle MJ50 Wheatgrass juicer is great. This review is from: Juiceman JM1000M Juiceman Express Junior Silver Metallic Juice Extractor and Food ProcessorCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

This juicer is easy to use, easy to clean up (almost every part is dishwasher safe), and packs a punch. While it's not some giant monster unit that will take over your entire counter, it's still an appliance- around somewhere in between the size of a blender and food processor. My husband and I just took out of the box (it was mostly assembled in the box- it comes with the base plus about four additional parts that snap into place), quickly cleaned the machine, plugged it in, and away we went. We threw in a handful of grapes, a whole apple, four carrots, two pieces of celery, and a small handful of spinach (what we had in the fridge at the moment). Everything was put into the juicer whole (except for the apple, which was the size of a softball and had to be cut in half) and fit fine. Within a flip of a switch and an instant to work, my husband had a HUGE tumbler of a frothy, cold, creamy fruit and veggie smoothie. And it actually tastes really good. I've never been a big fan of juicing, (I drink a lot of tea) but I do have to admit, there's a serious refreshing and crisp quality to a fresh glass of juice. It's definitely better than the stuff you get from the store. And as long as you have more glasses to put under the spout, you can continue juicing as long as you like. Just a few small complaints- food can pop up from the shoot when the machine is running, and it's a little messy when disassembling for cleanup. But that's to be expected. This is NOT a machine that grinds up seeds and pits and the typically "unedible" bits of fruit and veggies, just so you know. Most of the pulp from the fruits and veggies were in the receptacle (the long black piece on the side of the unit) but a few bits ended up in the bowl, easily cleaned out with a quick rinse. There was very little "grainy" pulp in the smoothie we made. I tend to dislike pulpy drinks and I didn't notice much pulp at all- the smoothie was incredibly smooth without being thin or watery. The pulp, which can be used in recipes and baking, was a little moist, but not drippy, so the juicer did a very nice job of extracting the juice from the fruits and veggies. So, in about three minutes, with a handful of stuff we already had in our fridge, we made a delicious smoothie. And cleanup was just as fast and easy as making the juice. I'm really very impressed with this machine. I'm kind of a beverage gadget queen, and I've had everything from smoothie machines to blenders to shaved ice makers and this is the most impressed I've been with any of them. Never thought a juicer might inspire me to start experimenting more in my kitchen, but it has. The recipe book is a little uninspired (mainly a stapled together booklet with some "intro to juicing" suggestions in it), but it's a good start. I think the key is to just try different things and see what you like.If you're looking for a new way to make some nice treats for your family, this may be your gadget. I'm glad my husband was interested in this gadget, it may actually the one I wind up using regularly, and for the long haul....This review is from: Juiceman JM1000M Juiceman Express Junior Silver Metallic Juice Extractor and Food ProcessorCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

I had never owned a juicer before getting the Juiceman Express Junior, and I wondered if it would be novice friendly. I am happy to report that it is *very* easy to use. After unpacking all of the parts and washing them, I followed the instructions in the manual to put it together in "juicing" mode. One part of the design that I like is the use of arrows on the parts that come off along with unlocked and locked pictures to guide the user in assembly.Making fresh juice is an absolute snap. One of the things I wanted to try was apple juice from my preferred variety of apples - Braeburn. The apples did require minimal prep as the large apple was too big for the chute. I had to quarter them in order for them to fit. That was the extent of the prep. I recommend reading the instructions because the booklet gives the instruction of starting the Juiceman for 10 seconds on low speed before adding fruit and/or vegetables. For juicing there are two speeds, and the instruction booklet lists most common fruits with the recommended setting. There is also a perfect prep option, but this is for use in "processor" mode. Apples being a harder fruit required the high speed. Once I loaded the pieces in, I only needed to apply slight pressure to move the apples through. It dispensed through the spout into my glass, and that's it. I would advise users to either be patient or put a small dish under the spout as the juice continues to drip longer than you might expect. The juice itself was very smooth. I found it interesting that it had a head much like a freshly poured beer. I stirred the juice to make sure that it was mixed, but the head endured. However, it did not affect that taste at all. During cleanup I was impressed at how little of the two apples that I feed through were either in the pulp catcher or in the main unit. The pulp as also fairly dry; therefore, the extraction process is ...

This review is from: Sunpentown CL-851 Professional 850-Watt Juice ExtractorIf your looking for the best in value, performance, and liability, look no further. I've had several juicers,& lemons. The shute Sunpentown CL-851 Professional 850-Watt Juice Extractor is wide mouth so very little slicing if any is needed. More than enough power with this 850-watt. The extractor filter is all stainless steel, no plastic to discolor or break. Clean up is a breeze also. I wash by hand except the extractor filter which gets put in on the top rack of the dishwasher. Quiet too. You'll love also the juice jug included too. Annabel Hall, Mackay, Idaho...This review is from: Sunpentown CL-851 Professional 850-Watt Juice ExtractorFor the price, this unit appears to be a very solid appliance. The base is aluminum and the extractor filter holder and filter are stainless steel. However, after 3 weeks of use three times a day making carrot juice, the plastic fin at the bottom of the feed chute broke off. The next time I used the juicer the motor quit. I sent the unit to Sunpentown & am waiting for its return. The customer service seems to be good, as they told me that both the plastic cover and the motor were replaced. Nonetheless, I'm really disappointed that the unit only lasted three weeks before needing repair. They apparently have some design & quality control issues....This review is from: Sunpentown CL-851 Professional 850-Watt Juice ExtractorI have had the unit for about 9 months. It is still working fine. The motor is powerful and can pretty much juice anything. The machine itself appears robust. One exception may be the plastic latches which hold the top cover with the base which contains the motor. They have not yet broken, but I suspect that it will probably happen one day when the unit is dissassembled for cleaning at which point these latches are particularly vulnerable to being hit or caught into something. It is quite easy to clean except in some very sharp corners where food get stuck and the use of a sharp thin knife is necessary to remove it. Overall good unit, does the job right. Comes with a cleaning brush....

This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Waring JEX328FR Health Juice ExtractorI've wanted a juicer for a long time, but could never really justify the expense, knowing that I'd very likely quickly tire of the maintenance involved. When I saw this juicer for under $25, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. When I opened the box, I was immediately impressed with the unit's solid construction. You can see right away that this isn't a plastic piece of junk that's going to break righ away. With the unit's first use, I juiced: cabbage, kale, spinach, carrots, onions and peppers. The unit - while not as powerful as more expensive models, I'm sure - juiced up everything with no hesitation. I would describe the pulp to be damp, but not what I'd call really wet.I dreaded the juicer clean-up process that I'd heard so much about. Disassembly of the unit is a breeze. There are basically three main parts to remove and it takes all of thirty-seconds. No problem. If there's one thing I could change, it would be a better designed pulp-catcher that would allow a bag to be used. This is only a minor gripe and has in no way made me regret the purchase. If you are a casual juicer, looking to get your feet wet without spending a ton of money, this would be a perfect choice. I'm still amazed that I got this for under $25 and I'd recommend it without hesitation....This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Waring JEX328FR Health Juice ExtractorI got this thing for $25 and it was definitely money well-spent. It juices anything I throw at it and is stylish and easy to clean. Despite being reconditioned, when it showed up I wouldn't have known it wasn't new if the site hadn't said reconditioned....This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Waring JEX328FR Health Juice ExtractorFirst, this juicer is marked down which is a red flag. I'll tell you why. THe feed chute is incredibly small. You have to cut everytning into narrow pieces so it fits in. THe pulp collector is inside the machine and gets filled very fast. I was juicing about 6 carrots with a few sticks of celery. The pulp catcher was full already. I hate the fact that I need to disassemble the machine and dump the pulp container more often than I should. At $50, it may see like it's a bargain and if you're juicing once a week then it may be but if you're planning on using this every day and juice a lot of vegetables then forget about it. It is a hassle. There are way better juicers to be found for a few bucks more....

This review is from: Jack LaLanne\'s Power Juicer ExpressI'm so sorry to write this but I can't believe how terrible this juicer is. I had a lovely Braun juicer my mom got me for Christmas in way back in 1993. That thing juiced everything beautifully. I even lugged it with me when I moved to Europe. Just last year a dear friend became ill, so I gave her my old Braun juicer. It still worked perfectly but I figured she needed it and maybe it was time to get a new one. Unfortunately my new juicer is the Jack Lalanne power juicer express. First of all, it constantly stalls. It barely juices beets or carrots... yes, I chop them. I tried to stick some kale in (which the little Braun had no problem with) but it just completely stalled (like it always does). Also, its complicated to put together and the spout isn't high enough if you want to make a large glass of juice. My little Braun juicer took me through my all my raw food juicing years without a hitch. With my new Jack Lalane, I'll have to get an entirely new juicer if I want to go on a juice fast. Such a pain. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I respect the man who's name is on the juicer....This review is from: Jack LaLanne\'s Power Juicer ExpressI like this juicer a lot. Just bought it at Kohl's today and it works great. I have had about 5 different juicers and I love this one by far out of all the rest. The screen filter is easy to clean. little slits instead of tiny pinholes. The juicer isn't the most powerful and you really need to be gentle when pushing food. You only want the juicer to go at its own pace and you need to let gravity do the pushing. Some things like apples you need to apply a small amount of pressure. With other high powered juicers You can push a whole apple through without a second thought. This one takes a little longer but the result is less foamy and MORE juice. Take your time when juicing with this juicer. If you let gravity do most of the work and lightly assist sometimes even pulling up the plunger and going back down to allow the fruit/veg to popup then go back down and it will juice and not jam. The videos on tips on the Jack Lalanne website from the factory are really useful. They show you how you SHOULD juice for long motor life and less juice wasted. If you do like on the infomercial your gonna break your motor quick. I am ecstatic with this juicer. Looks GREAT too. The picture makes some of the chrome look like its dull grey metallic...but all the shiny parts are chrome colored. Sometimes if you are going to do multiple glasses of juice you may need to pop out the filter/blade and rinse some of the fiber off so you can continue otherwise you don't get full performance from the machine. Best juicer I have had. Other juicers I have had: Magic Bullet w/juicer attachment, Magic Bullet Express Juicer, Juiceman and a Hamilton beach. I think the best benefit of the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Express model over the traditional other styles is its quicker to clean(blade and filter one pc), meant for smaller amounts of juice at a time(smaller filter and blade and pulp collector) For me its the perfect size. If you are only going to do family size amounts of juice you may be more interested in the non-**express** models. They have a larger blade, filter and pulp container so you can do larger amounts of juicing between cleaning. Just a little more bulky and harder to clean. The express model is a nice size even for keeping on the counter top. Nicest looking appliance on my countertop!...This review is from: Jack LaLanne\'s Power Juicer ExpressUPDATE 9/4/11: After months of using this juicer, I have to edit my review and lower the stars given to 3 STARS. Why? Because of the clogging of the cutter teeth as detailed below... The clogged cutter teeth really make juicing a PITA as I fight keeping the teeth clean and open while juicing sinple stuff like apples, kale, and other leafy veggies. It should not be this way... Poorly designed cutter teeth, no two ways about it. It does work OK if you feed it in an order that cleans the teeth periodically during a juicing. I have found cucumbers and carrots as the best teeth cleaner. I even use a long cucumber as the plunger to feed in items that won't feed right as the teeth get clogged. Basically a PITA... I am no looking for a BETTER JUICER with cutters properly designed...The other positives reviews I agree with, so I will get right to my main points rather than specs...My Express Juicer is very effective and efficient in extracting JUICE. The pulp ejected is always a moist dry, which means it is extracting as much JUICE as possible. The motor seems STRONG as I have really pushed some TOUGH veggies through the Express, like Kale, and why I had to push them in with higher than ideal downward pressure has to do with the one FLAW I believe the Express has... The cutting teeth on the filter. The TEETH tend to get clogged when juicing FIBEROUS veggies, which forces one to either stop and clean the teeth (big hassle in the middle of a juice job), or push down harder and get through it so you can run some "teeth cleaning" veggies through, like carrots or celery. I have seen some pics of the Express with BAR-type cutting teeth, which would work much better IMO, but I have the fang-type teeth as my cutters, which do clog at times. But if you feed in the veggies in the right sequ...

This review is from: Omega VRT330 Dual-Stage Vertical Single-Auger Low-Speed JuicerThe first impression.Let me start off by saying the construction of this machine is impressive. There was not a flimsy piece of plastic on the entire machine. The entire set-up is heavy gauge plastic, the machine easily reflects the $350 price tag, no questions asked. The machine is a lot heavier than most kitchen appliances, which is not a bad a thing. The machine was easy to clean and easy to assemble.Performance.To use this juicer you will need to cut up the produce, such as beets, apples, anything large and round. You need to cut them up anyway with your 3" shoot on the centrifugal juicer, most apples don't fit and the larger beats don't either. I use the apple corer/cuter from Pampered Chef, you can use it for the beets as well. Carrots fit fine, I could see some of the very large carrots needing to be cut.The juicing operation is fast and effort less. They give you a pusher but you will not need it. The machine's design automatically pulls the produce into the hopper. All you need to do if feed the machine. The machine is extremely quiet, such a relief when I first turned it on, it almost sounds like a can opener but quieter. It's pretty simple, the produce gets crushed by the auger then pressed against the top metal mesh filter ring, then squeezed more then pressed against the bottom filter ring (there is one filter that consists of a top metal filter about an inch of plastic separating then a bottom ring, check the picture to get a better idea). There is also a outer self cleaning cover over the filter with three sets of three squiggy things one for the top filter, one for the bottom filter and one large one for the outer case. This thing cleans itself as it works, pour some water in the machine between juicing and it removes the remnants of what you just juiced, getting it ready for your next produce. Don't get me wrong this thing does not literally clean itself but the self cleaning mechanism makes it simple to clean at the end of juicing. The juice is separated from the pulp and flows out a spout in the bottom front of the machine and the pulp gets pushed out a shoot on the bottom side, it's actually pretty cool to watch, there is very little juice left in the pulp, much more efficient than the 3 models I tried.Quality of the juice. They advertise that by squeezing the produce you get a better tasting juice with more vitamins. I was skeptical when I read it. When I took my first sip of carrot juice I could tell the difference immediately. I couldn't figure out how to describe it though, it's both juice from a carrot, how can one taste so different. This might not make sense but this is how I will describe the taste difference. The juice from the centrifugal machines taste as if it was watered down compared to the juice from the Omega Vert. When I took my first sip of apple juice, there was no comparisons, the taste was so crisp and fresh, actually like taking a bite from an apple. I was amazed at the difference.Orange juice from every juicer I have used never tasted like the fresh squeezed store bought juice, With the Omega Vert it does, same consistency with no separation, the separation you see in the glass of juice from a centrifugal juicer is what gives it the watered down taste. I am not knocking the juice that comes from other machines but to understand what I am saying you need to find away to taste the juice this machine puts out. I guarantee you will instantly taste the difference as I have and have an entire different outlook on juicing. I guess the high rpm's actually cause flavor to be lost, my theory is the shredding and spinning not the heat as others say, the machine spins so quickly that most of the liquid that escapes is water that is missing most of the vitamins, sugars, flavor and fibers. The Omega Vert operates at very low rmp's, and squeezes instead of shreds and spinsThe one thing Omega did say was that there is no froth to the juice as it is squeezed and not spun, this was not true. There was very little froth compared to centrifugal models but it is present, but as I said there is no visible separation of the juice and it tastes absolutely fantastic.Conclusion.This juicer is expensive, but from what I have seen on my first day it is worth it just on construction alone, plus it comes with a 10 year FULL warranty, if anything breaks it is replaced. I have not dealt with their customer service department that much, I did asks them two questions via e-mail and it took 24 hours for a reply, but that's normal. They did ship the juicer out within 7 days which is good for a manufacturer. I hope I never have to deal with them enough to write about it in a review. If juicing is a lifestyle to you then this is the juicer for you, hands down. It takes a little bit longer to prepare produce and clean the machine, add up that total extra time between this juicer and a centrifugal one and your only looking at a 5 minute difference. It all depends on how you prepare and what handy kitchen tools you have. I have only used this machine once but I have been juicing long enough to know a good thing when I see it. I want to submit this review because there are very few out there. From what I have seen with the quality the juice I am conv...
