This review is from: Roma Food Strainer Berry Screen AccessoryThis product is just fine, my problem is with the way it was pictured. I thought I was buying a set of accessories and I got only the berry screen one. I emailed the company that sent it and was really impressed, they called me within one hour. They wanted to make me happy and we agreed on a deal we were both satisfied with. I will deal directly with this company again....

This review is from: Omega J8003 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, WhiteLength:: 6:00 MinsHello there this is Evo and I'm offering a video review of the Omega 8003 juicer. This is an outstanding juicer and I am so glad I didn't settle for something cheaper. Like stated in the video it has been an absolute JOY to use and have been using it daily for over a month now. With such a big warranty it is no surprise that Omega makes some of the best consumer grade juicers on the market. I hope you enjoy my review!...This review is from: Omega J8003 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, WhiteI just got this juicer after having only used centrifugal juicers. Actually did own a champion years ago, that I'd almost forgotten about. This does a better job if you are considering one of those and the construction is equivalent. I did a fair amount of reading and made my purchase based partly on price. After having used it several times to juice carrots/apples/cabbage, I can say it does a fair job. Cleanup is quite easy (easier than the screen on centrifugal). Issues - juice volume is not what I expected. There are longer auger juicers that reviews indicated did a better job (just they were another $50). I considered the vertical auger (omega 330 and hurom) and now wish I'd spent more for them. My biggest complaint about this is the small chute (although typical for these - green star/samson/and omega all seem to have a 1.5x1.5 chute). The small chute means ALOT of chopping ahead of time. The hurom/omega 330 has a larger chute hence the wish to have spent more and gotten one of them (btw - they are same, as you'd find if you research). So in summary - easy to clean - easy to assemble and understand - feeding chute too small - volume of juice could be better - construction quality looks good....This review is from: Omega J8003 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, WhiteMy last juicer was centrifugal type and lasted 20 years. When it died recently, I started researching a replacement only to find a mind-boggling amount of brands and styles. After all the time invested, I'm glad I decided on this Omega. The juicer is really impressive. Very compact. Quiet. My first item through was frozen bananas using the blank and I may never buy store-bought ice cream again. Next I juiced a combo of veggies and fruits. All processed smoothly, quickly, and effortlessly. The juice is clearly superior to that of my old juicer. No froth, very cold and fresh tasting. The cleanup is NOTHING compared to my last juicer. It cleans completely and quickly; no mess stuck in the screen that you have to work at. Very few parts. Really sturdy. This is a dream juicer, and at this price it's even more incredible. I'm thrilled with it!...

This review is from: Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juicing MachineThe Breville JE98XL was our replacement to our decade old Jack Lalanne Juicer. Wow, what a difference. If I had known what I was missing I would have made the switch a long time ago. We get a lot more juice out of our fruits and veggies with the Breville than with the Jack Lalanne. I can only imagine how much money was wasted over the years by not getting everything out of our produce. The Breville also makes quick work of juicing. Before, it was a major event to create enough juice for my family. Now it takes minutes. Clean up is super easy as well. And with the fitted juice catcher, no more mess to clean up like with the Jack Lalanne. One more comment on all those downers who gripe about high revolutions killing the enzymes. Yes it is true, but to a very small degree. And the time I save with the Breville is well worth the small faction of enzymes I may lose. I have been juicing for over a decade and this is the best machine I have used. I am once again excited about juicing, thank you Breville!...This review is from: Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juicing MachineFor the past couple of years we had been using a juiceman jr. We liked it but it was having difficulty holding up to all the juicing we began to do most recently. We did some research and felt that the Breville would meet our needs. I was happy to learn with the bigger mouth I didn't have to do as much prep work as I had been doing with the juiceman jr. Also, the Breville has two speeds and a booklet that has great recipes and suggestions. Relatively easy to clean and put back together. We have used it everyday and is holding up to all the various fruits and vegetables we are juicing!...This review is from: Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juicing MachineThere are only a few reviews for this on Amazon. I purchased this machine yesterday. It was not from Amazon. I think the Juice is excellent. The machine is very easy to set up and clean. My problem is that two fold. First I am not sure the screen will hold up for the long haul. My second is that I just juiced a Pineapple and half of it was froth. The same goes with Beets, carrots,Apples etc.... It also seems to suddenly slam the fruit into the top of the machine. The pulp does not go into the basket also. The pulp from carrots is much dryer than other fruits. The other fruit pulp can be squeezed by hand. It is like I wish I had a press as a back up to press the pulp. It is a waste in my opinion to have so much pulp left over and then all that froth. Look I have done research on a lot of juicers and for the price this one seemed to be great. It is a centrifuge juicer and I realize they are at the bottom of the line as far as juicers go. I am going to return my juicer tomorrow and go for the big bucks. I am going to purchase a twin screw triturator and maybe with a press. I just do not like all that froth and with produce being so expensive... I am sure the savings will pay for the more expensive machine. Recap: If you do not mind all the froth and wet pulp??? It is your choice. Cleaning and assembly is a breeze. However you will probably have to disassemble it and clean it twice before you can make a quart of juice(or more???). The pulp does not go into the pulp basket instead it gets stuck on the top of the inside before it makes it into the basket. Then there is that nasty froth again.....What can I say???? I also tried the both speeds to see if that would help. Does not help. Good luck. I hope this was helpful??? Wish I read my review before my purchase.......

Braun Juicer Continuous Feed - 220 Volts, WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA

This review is from: Braun Juicer Continuous Feed - 220 Volts, WILL NOT WORK IN THE USAI have been looking for another juicer just like this one for years. I had one of these for many, many years and it was my absolute favorite. I tried to replace it but nothing has ever lived up to the Braun. If you find a place to get another, please let me know! I WANT ONE in the US!!!!!...This review is from: Braun Juicer Continuous Feed - 220 Volts, WILL NOT WORK IN THE USAWe've had ours for about six years now and its heavily used. Cleanup is great too. You have two pieces to wash off and you're done. Does a great job of keeping back seeds, but still allows some pulp through. Does a great job on all sorts of citrus from the smallest of limes up to the uglifruit.Basically its one of those kitchen gadgets that you will use a lot and not realize that suddenly you've had it for six years. Great product, hope it lasts another six years!...This review is from: Braun Juicer Continuous Feed - 220 Volts, WILL NOT WORK IN THE USAI ordered this product, and unfortunately it required an adapter. Could not locate one in my area, ordered one from the seller in New Jersey. It arrived defective and received inferior customer service when I reported the problem. They wanted me to talk to the manufacturer over the phone to trouble shoot the problem. They did not want to take back the adapter that did not work. I returned the juicer and received the same inferior customer service from the seller. Ended up costing me $20 in handling fees. I bought a Breville juicer from Williams Somona. They have outstanding customer service, and a very reasonable return policy!...

This review is from: Juiceman JM480S 1.1-HP 2-Speed All-in-One Automatic Juice Extractor and Citrus Juicer with Integrated Pulp ContainerCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

The Juiceman appears to be a great value at first. This appliance looks and feels sturdy and comes with two types of juicer. One is the classic "spinning cone" that you press a half a citrus against. It's essentially a motorized version of the glass juicer that we have just about all used at one time or another. The other juicer function is the "juice extractor" which is the configuration pictured in the Amazon website photo. This is the way we spent our testing time, in this configuration, and we were frankly kind of disappointed. The Juiceman produced juice, but it produced a LOT more pulp. I found I could get about as much juice by hand squeezing the pulp at the end of an extraction than the extraction itself. Seemed odd. We followed all the instructions, and our observation is that the recipe yields in the instruction book are optimistic at best. In general, it seemed to take us about twice as many apples to make a cup of juice as suggested in the book. It seemed to take about three times as many carrots. In talking with friends who had more experience with this kind of unit, we found that they had a couple of recommendations: 1. Make sure you have only the freshest, juiciest fruits and vegetables and that you soak carrots and celery in water before use; 2. The several times more expensive juicers exist because they work better. Upon checking some web sources, we found that most of the folks who are really happy with their juicers, whatever the brand, seem to gravitate towards the $300-500 kind. Wow! This Juiceman is $79. So, a way to look at it is, how much extra fruit and vegetable can you buy for the added couple hundred dollars? Probably enough that you'll get tired of juicing before you make up the difference. A poor way to look at it, I'm sure, but here is why I say this. The Juiceman is not fun to clean. Juicing carrots seemed to leave a glaze on the surface of the extractor cup, which is a spinning steel and plastic bowl inside the machine. It has sharp spurs on the bottom of the cup to grind off bits of fruit and vegetable which are then centrifuged against the fine screened sides which allow the juice to fly out into the collection area of the unit when in operation. We went through half a Costco bag of carrots, four apples, a bunch of spinach, four large celery stalks, etc. This required emptying the pulp bin about four times. We got well under a pint of juice altogether. In fact, the four of us were using shot glasses to share the output. When we finished and I went to do final cleaning, it was very hard to remove the filmy glaze on the bottom of the extractor cup. I soaked it overnight in water. The next day, it was still had to scrub off. I used a toothbrush for the task. They supply a cleaning brush in the kit, which is essentially a stiff toothbrush, too. The other parts didn't have the filmy glaze, but there are a lot of parts to clean. The next hardest cleaning task is the plastic labyrinth that leads the juice out of the spout on the front of the unit. You absolutely need a brush or other implement to reach into these spaces to clean unless you have skinny fingers. Whatever you do, don't let this plastic thing sit after use - you need to clean it immediately. The rest of the pieces are more or less like cleaning a food processor. I suppose the bottom line here is that I now appreciate why commercial fruit and vegetable juices are not cheap, especially the "organic" health food types. If you must have this kind of appliance, do a lot of checking beforehand and buy enough juicer that you'll be happy with it. This one is not enough unless you have other uses for all the pulp and have enough time to be inefficient about producing juice....This review is from: Juiceman JM480S 1.1-HP 2-Speed All-in-One Automatic Juice Extractor and Citrus Juicer with Integrated Pulp ContainerCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

I was excited to try out this Juiceman Juice Extractor, as I had never owned a juicer before. Overall, it's a pretty nice product.Pros:+ Easy to assemble and take apart. It was fairly intuitive for me to put this together without needing instructions.+ Simple to clean. I don't have a dishwasher, but the product says that it's dishwasher safe. I was also happy to find that there is a toothbrush-like cleaning tool included, to help clean the filter piece.+ Simple to close the juice spout. This is a small, but useful feature, for when you are switching out the juice collection container+ Two speeds. The fruits I used worked fine on the slower speed, but it's nice to know that there's a more powerful setting available.+ Comes with a citrus attachment. This is great for making orange juice, lemonade, and other citrus drinks.+ Recipes included in booklet. There were only a few, but it's a nice place to start.Cons:+ Juicing is not perfect. When I put apples through the machine, there were a few bigger pieces (around the size of a nickel) that the machine missed. I didn't think this was that big of a deal, though, since overall the juicer performed pretty well.Overall, this is a pretty good product. I would recomme...

Kuvings Multi-Purpose Masticating Juicer

This review is from: Kuvings Multi-Purpose Masticating JuicerThis juicer is amazing! I would highly recommend this product especially if you are limited in space & funds. You get the same effects as a $500.00 juicer but with a smaller price tag. The clean up is fast and simple....This review is from: Kuvings Multi-Purpose Masticating JuicerI must say, I thought I was stepping out on a limb buying this machine, but I liked the look :) I have had many juicers - centrifugal and single auger. My last juicer, a Champion - the motor burned out when I juiced kale. This machine processes the kale easily, with no foam. I have not tried wheat grass yet, but I'm sure the results will be just as good. I was vasilating between this one and the Omega, and I'm glad I chose this one! The parts are SO easy to clean and assemble. It is quiet, so I won't wake anybody up in the morning! It literally grabs the fruit/vegetable - no need to push down with all your strength! I am so impressed by this machine - I highly recommend it!...This review is from: Kuvings Multi-Purpose Masticating JuicerLet me start off by saying that this is the second time I've ever felt the urge to leave a review for a product that I've purchased. This time I'm writing because I'm so satisfied with what I bought. A few days ago I purchased the Juice Extractor which can do with wheatgrass. I liked this natural green color and the look with a hand-grip. The item arrived within a few days, which amazed me to begin with. As soon as it arrived I couldn't wait to try out the machine so I ran to the store and bought fresh apples, carrots and wheat grass. I've been making my wife fresh fruit juice as well as wheatgrass juice ever since. And also I spend time to make pasta and ice snow with my kids....

This review is from: Jack Lalanne\'s JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric JuicerFirst off, let me admit to the fact that I've never owned any kind of juicer before, this one is the first. We were given the Jack LaLanne Stainless Juicer as a gift from someone who already had one and loved it. I had modestly high hopes for it, not being a big powered-kitchen-gadget fan; but we also have been trying to improve our diets due and lose some weight, so the gift was rather timely to meet that end. I honestly knew nothing about this product until I pulled it out of the box at home. We'd gone to the local big-box store and bought a bunch of stuff to put in the machine and try it out: Kiwis, mangoes, carrots, tomatoes, apples, oranges, pears, ginger root, celery and pineapple. The Good:Out of the box I got the impression that this was a sturdy product. All of the parts are fairly simple, that means less stuff to break or clean to me. It assembled in a snap, I didn't even look at the directions (typical guy...I know). Upon firing up the machine, I was impressed with how quiet it was. A modest hum and vibration was all that I could hear. Fruit being put in the device emits a sound reminiscent of a very quiet band or table saw. By the time I've written this, all of the above products have passed through the juicer and released some juice without trouble, the "hard" bits were cut off or out (stems, mango pits, etc...) and the juicer had no difficulty turning any of them into pulp. Incidentally, one of my favorite things to put in the juicer so far is simply a couple of carrots and apples. Tastes good, but probably gives me an orange tongue... There is also a stopper on the drain spout that allows you to stop the flow of juice while you trade out whatever it is you are using to catch the juice. Cleanup was no problem. Dumped the pulp bucket, cleaned the gunk out of the lid (some pulp sticks to the upper lid) with my hand and rinsed it off with soapy water. The blade was easy to clean, but the screen takes a little more effort, it is fairly delicate. I was able to clean it no problem with a lightweight scrubbing pad. The lower portion and base clean up easily as well. What produce seems to do well: Apples do very well. Lots of juice and the pulp is pretty dry.Carrots: Same as apples.Celery: Pretty good job here too. Careful though, celery has a pretty strong taste; it'll overpower a lot of other flavors. Oranges: Pretty good. I've noticed that it doesn't seem to get as much juice out of these as it could, the pulp can be pretty wet sometimes.Kiwis: Not so good. The kiwis are very pulpy and tend to block the undersized drain hole from the catch basin. They taste good though...Pineapple: Lots of juice, not as much as you might think though. Due to the very fibrous nature of pineapple I found I had to stop the juicer after half a pineapple and clean the screen. The fibers were getting caught in it, unbalancing and blocking it. It tends to gum up the cutting blade as well. Mango: Same as kiwis. Tastes good, but the pulp gums up the works.Tomatoes: Great! Lots of juice, and with the re-addition of some of the pulp makes a great tomato soup. Again, due to the soft pulpy nature of tomatoes, it tends to plug things up.Pears: If you pick the firmer varieties, they go through just like apples.Ginger root: We'd had a glass of ginger/orange juice somewhere and wanted to re-create it, it was pretty good. Ginger doesn't have a high water content so you need to run it through first and then the wetter produce behind it to pull the ginger flavor out with it. Pretty strong flavor, don't need as much as you think. The Bad and Ugly:There are several design issues that this juicer has that are serious drawbacks to me. The drain hole is one of the big ones, as well as the fit and finish of some of the parts. The drain hole simply isn't large enough. It plugs up way too easily no matter what produce is run through the machine in any sufficient amount to create more than two or three tall glasses of juice. This results in juice leaking down the motorized base and making a pretty substantial mess, usually because you are halfway through running something through the machine and the juice has been backing up for a bit. I think it said somewhere in the directions that some of this is "normal", I gotta raise the BS flag...I call it bad design. The directions say not to run really ripe fruit through the machine (which could lead to leakage problems); well, what are you supposed to use, hard and sour unripe fruit? Even chasing something "pulpy" like kiwi through the machine with something hard like apple doesn't seem to clear the machine out at all. The inability to use ripe fruit seems to contradict the reason you'd want the juice to begin with. This is by far one of the more frustrating issues with this juicer, it should not get plugged up so easily.A design issue is the catch basin and lid; the catch basin does not line up with the lid very well and can shift if you are juicing a lot of things consecutively, you'll wind up with pulp on your counter if you don't keep an eye on it. There is no solid mechanical connection between the two. The lid also has a couple of crannies in it that pulp seems to migrate towards that are difficult ...

Cleaning Made Simple - Dishwasher-safe, removable parts disassemble easily for cleaning

This review is from: Champion 2000+ Commercial Model Juicer G5-PG710 WhiteWhoever the reviewer named Joyce Evans is, she has a real problem, and it isn't Champion. This reviewer has gone on Amazon and other review sites with the same misrepresentation: that Champion doesn't support its older juicers with parts. The Plastaket company, owned by the same family from the beginning, introduced the Champion in 1955. It was the same, now classic, design, using a large and very powerful GE motor turning at ~1700rpm, as opposed to 3500-16,000 rpm on a centrifugal juicer. Looking at the juicer, the feed/chute part, the cutting cone and the screen are made of high-grade nylon as opposed to the cheaper and easier molded plastic on today's juicers. With use over the years, the molds for these parts simply wore out and new, visually identical parts were made. However, this is a precision machine and the new parts were different enough that they don't fit the very oldest juicers. My Champion was purchased nearly 30 years ago. After reading this woman's entries here and elsewhere, I called up Plastaket. As with any juicer heavily used, the cutting mechanism will dull over time and should be replaced every few years. The entire assembly was still available for my juicer, as I expected. I spoke at some length with the company and brought up this woman's work online. The change in the parts was explained to me; they readily stated that their very oldest juicers don't have an inventory of parts. I ask other readers: how many small appliance manufacturers keep parts past a very few years? What do readers think of the probability of getting new cutting baskets for all these Juiceman and LaLanne labeled juicers 10 years from now, much less 30 years from now? The only juicers that I know of with enough history to check, are Acme/Omega (they use the same cutter wheel, still readily available) and Norwalk (at least for most parts for this $2000+ machine). Though of course Ms. Evans doesn't bother to mention the age of the Champion to which she refers, re Plastaket it must be a very, very old model. This woman states on her profile that she is some type of 'professional' and 'educator'. This 1-star rating combined with her refusal or inability to even review the machine should nullify her review. I have no problem if this person doesn't like the machine--who knows what she is thinking? After seeing this very same, quite unfair byline on more than one juicer review site, I can't decide whether she's some type of Champion weirdo or just a nut....This review is from: Champion 2000+ Commercial Model Juicer G5-PG710 Whitea superb juicer: excellent build quality, easy to use, easy 2-3 minute cleanup, very quiet, fast, produces a whole lot of juice, works fine with leafy veggies as well. the juice is not warmed up in the process (a major point), and TASTY!very minor gripes: quite a bit of foam, but that is true with any juicer; the white plastic will stain, but that's not a functional problem; I would prefer they had made the parts that contact the food from hdpe instead of pvc but I've never noticed any off flavor.summary: if you juice a lot, just skip the cheap (or expensive) junk and get this. there are very few other products that are even in the same league; breville is also ok for some stuff, but if you want a masticating juicer (and you know you do) get this one. did i mention the 10yr warranty?...This review is from: Champion 2000+ Commercial Model Juicer G5-PG710 WhiteI have owned a Champion Juicer for several years now and still love it. It makes great juice and the type of juice I like, with some pulp. I used to have an Acme juicer and discovered when I got my Champion that there is a difference between juicers. The Acme juicer had no pulp, more like the juice you see in the store which if you look at the reviews for the Acme juicer, people love it. It does a good job and I had an Acme juicer for 20 years. The Champion Juicer that I have now was gotten because someone recommended it via the extra pulp it gave so that sounded interesting and I have not regretted the change out of what machine I use now. I can do carrot juice with the carrots right out of the refrigerator and no warm up. The machine handles cold veggies very nicely. The "shoot" that you put the veggies into is wide enough for those bigger carrots that you don't have to take time to cut them up first. My vegetable preparation is very minimal. The cleanup is very quick. I always hand wash and dry the pieces to insure they fit properly. I have never had any problems with the machine. I read the manual first before I started so probably the one aspect that is different is greasing the metal part before you put the machine together which isn't a big issue. It does take a little muscle to hold the screen down while you are putting the machine together so if you are 80 you might want to get a different juicer. It has a safety feature that if you don't have the machine put together properly, it will not turn on. I find that extremely helpful because I tried a Jack LaLanne juicer before this machine and didn't have one piece put on exactly right and the machine started up and broke the piece quickly before I even had a chance to turn the machine off. So I can really appreciate the fact that if I haven't got the screen on completely or have the underneath piece backwards, the machine will "tell me" and I salvage my machine and my wallet. So there are advantages as to why a juicer is designed a certain way if we can see the "vision" of the reasoning. My brother is interested in a juicer and I anticipate Champion will be the choic...

This review is from: Waring Pro JEX328PK 400-Watt Juice Extractor, PinkI've had this juicer for about six months and I like it. Love the pink color with the stainless. It's very easy to take apart and clean. There are a couple of issues - the filter is very hard to clean - little strings get caught in the tiny hole and it takes some patience to get them clean with the little brush. The reservoir for the fruit/veg bits it small and gets filled up fast. You just need to clear it out if you use more than five or six whole fruit (I used apples and carrots). Otherwise it's a great juicer and goes very well with my pink kitchen....This review is from: Waring Pro JEX328PK 400-Watt Juice Extractor, PinkNice juicer. Works great for the price and I do love the color. Do wish the opening, where you put the fruits and vegetables was a bit larger, so you wouldnt have to cut the items small enough to fit. It is easy to take apart, but does take some time to thoroughly clean all the parts. Again, for the price, it works well. If you want something more fancy, you must be willing to spend a little extra....This review is from: Waring Pro JEX328PK 400-Watt Juice Extractor, PinkI LOVE this juicer! First of all it's PINK! But it also preforms very very well! VERY happy with price and purchase!...

Tristar Jack LaLanne Deluxe Juice Machine

This review is from: Tristar Jack LaLanne Deluxe Juice MachineI recently saw a review here on this juicer and had decided to shop some more. The reviewer had nothing positive to say about the juicer. After much shopping, I DID buy this juicer and am very happy I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is an excellent juicer. It is VERY easy to clean, unlike a previous review stated. All the accessories came with the juicer. You can even buy additional accessory packages for a very reasonable price. It can be put together in seconds. It takes 2 minutes to clean, yes even the filter. It came with a brush and I also have a toothbrush I bought for the same purpose. I recommend this juicer to everyone. The pulp is very dry, therefore you are getting every bit of juice! It will not work if you have not assembled it properly. It is safe, easy to clean and VERY QUIET, I was surprised by that!I was able to get 2 recipe books with it also. I do my own receipes, basically any fruit I can get in season. It is a excellent product, and durable! You will not be sorry....This review is from: Tristar Jack LaLanne Deluxe Juice MachineI am a first time juicer, i recently bought the Jack LaLanne Juicer. It is so wonderful, it is so easy to use. Cleaning is a snap, taking apart and back together is simple. This juicer does what it promises. the booklets that are included, have yummy recipes. I highly recommend this product. And on a futher note, i would like to add. When you buy Jack LaLanne Deluxe Juicer, you should consider "The Juicing Bible", by Pat Crocker and Susan Eagles. It is the perfect book for beginners and for those u want to experiment. With the excellent juicer and helpful book, u cant go wrong, JUST HEALTHY!...This review is from: Tristar Jack LaLanne Deluxe Juice MachineI really like this juicer. It is very easy to use, and the pulp is reusable. The only thing I haven't liked is how difficult it is to find replacement parts. I have misplaced my blade, and haven't been able to find a place that sells replacement blades. The screen is a little hard to clean, but it isn't too big a problem. The screen brush really helps. It is a very sturdy machine, and the juice it makes is wonderful....

Bodum Bistro Electric Two Speed Citrus Juicer

This review is from: Bodum Bistro Electric Two Speed Citrus JuicerCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

I really wanted to like this juicer, but I was quickly disappointed. Pros:*It's quiet.*It's easy to take apart and wash, and the relevant parts are even dishwasher safe.*The glasses are very nice (if a bit thin), stackable, and bigger than I expected. They're the highlight of the product, actually.Cons:*The juicer cone is not very aggressively constructed. I found that I really had to push hard and wiggle the orange around a lot to get it going. *The juicer does not turn very quickly. I think using a manual juicer would be just as quick.*Though this juicer is 100 watts, it bogs down and strains if you push very hard (which it cautions you to not do).*The "cyclone function" does not come anywhere near to extracting "all" the juice from the pulp, as they claim. It's only a little faster than the regular juicing speed, and it did pull out a bit more juice, but I was still left with a heap of sopping pulp in the strainer.*Because the performance of this juicer is really not much better than a manual juicer, it might seem that it would be useful only for someone who would be juicing a lot of fruit at one time. But, per the instructions, you can only use this juicer for three minutes before you should stop and let it cool down to "room temperature." (I never sensed that it was getting hot, so how could I tell when it had cooled?) Given how long it takes to juice a single orange, you might be able to juice two oranges (one glassful) at the most before having to wait. This isn't a machine that will let you blaze through a bag of oranges and produce a pitcher of juice as breakfast cooks.Overall, the Bodum Bistro juicer does indeed juice and is well designed for easy cleaning, but considering its price, large size, and so-so performance, I can't recommend it. Amazon offers other juicers that are highly rated and cheaper. In an electric, you might consider the very reasonably priced (and far more versatile) Black & Decker CJ525 CitrusMate Juicer, the even cheaper (and higher powered) Oster 3186 Juice-n-Serve Automatic Citrus Juicer or the Tribest Citristar Juicer; or go low-tech and cheap and try the aggressive cone on the Oxo Good Grips Citrus Juicer....This review is from: Bodum Bistro Electric Two Speed Citrus JuicerCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

I know the Bodum name, because they make the greatest electric burr coffee grinder that I've ever owned! Bodum is a Swiss company who make simple, basic appliances that usually serve a single purpose, as this citrus juicer does. This citrus juicer is exactly like the small glass hand citrus juicers that my mother and grandmother used in the 50's and 60's, except with a motor! I personally love simple basic kitchen things and this juicer is very simple. The quiet motor is completely sealed in the base. The top has the old style wedge shaped form that the halved orange, grapefruit, lemon or lime sit on. All you do is hold down the fruit half on the wedged form, and it spins the juice out, just as if you were twisting it on the old fashioned hand held types. There is also a dome cover that you can place on top of the citrus fruit half, and when you push down on the dome, the motor spins the rest of the juice out of the pulp at a higher speed. Pushing on the fruit half or the dome is actually the on/off switch. If my mother or grandmother had this in the fifties and sixties they would call it a wrist saver!I use this juicer more on a weekly basis, than daily. If oranges are on sale, I'll make a full pitcher of orange juice. If lemons are on sale, it's lemonade. Grapefruit juice is delicious as well- not to mention a great calorie burner for anyone wanting to keep their weight down. This juicer is limited to citrus fruit only- it's not a juice extractor which juices everything. We had a juice extractor years ago, and they are very expensive and harder to clean than this simple basic juicer. The few parts are easily removed and cleaned in your dishwasher or by hand. There are no sharp parts to clean. For anyone who loves basic, simple appliances that create basic plain citrus juices, you will enjoy this Bodum juicer. Both the juicer's plastic body and the set of juice glasses have a rubbery covering for a nice firm grip. I love the great bright colors they come in as well- they really brighten up your kitchen!...This review is from: Bodum Bistro Electric Two Speed Citrus JuicerCustomer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)

The Bodum Bistro Electric Juicer is a simple, effective juicer but there are a few drawbacks to the machine. The main drawback - it has a fairly large footprint. Considering it only serves the function of extracting the juice of citrus fruits like lemons and oranges it takes up a lot of room. Other juicers within the same price point can extract veggie juice in addition to citrus juice. And many of those take up less counterspace. The juicer is simple to operate. You simple push the fruit into the rotating juice extractor. This is what you do with many other no frills juicers that have a much lower price point. The price on the Bodum Bistro Electric Juicer is most likely higher due to the addition of two matching juice glasses and the color selection available on the juicer. Let's face it, color in the kitchen takes the ho hum out of everyday kitchen chores and is fun. I own a pink kitchen gadgets website and I can appreciate the pleasure from color in the kitchen. It livens things up. The Bodum comes in a choice of several colors (though sadly pink is not one of them). But the colors offered are bright and fun if they work with your decor.Overall, as one who juices on just an occasional basis, I prefer equipment that does double duty or has a smaller footprint. But if you care to juice only citr...

This review is from: Waring Juicing Center, Quite White/StainlessI have owned this juicer for over a year now and have had to change the blade twice. It does a good job most of the times, but when you start mixing soft and hard fruits and vegetables simultaneously and in a certain order, the unit will start vibrating to the point where the blade will make contact with the metal column where vegetables/fruits are introduced. The result: the maching will grind the blade and damage the performance of it. Try the following combination: apple, carrots, and grapes. Say bye bye to your blade.... (a $40 value)....This review is from: Waring Juicing Center, Quite White/StainlessWe used this juicer for 2 months. After one month the juicer began to vibrate and make weird noices that scared our kids and cat. Finally the blade is dead and we are ready to get rid of this machine. Machine looks very nice and I give it 2 stars for the look....This review is from: Waring Juicing Center, Quite White/StainlessThis is the second identical juicer I have purchased. The firstwas sent in for warranty work and was returned to me withoutresolution of the problem. They are making their second attempt to fix it (now out of warranty due to my procrastination). The reports I have read say it is the best, but I am not so sure....

This review is from: Aroma ACJ-181 1-Liter Citrus JuicerWhen I first opened the box, I thought, uh oh, seems rather cheap. But it is great! It just zips through the oranges! I wanted something that would be quick and easy for my family to whip up a fresh glass of juice in the morning, and this is does the job. My 4 yr old granddaughter was thrilled to make her own juice, it is that easy. I like that the juice drips down into a pitcher that pops off the base and can be put on the table for breakfast. It puts a lot of pulp in the juice, but we like pulp. If you don't, it is simple enough to pour it through a strainer or colander before you drink it. This little baby takes those citrus fruits right down to the rind, so you have to watch you don't over-juice and make your juice bitter. Quite powerful! I already have one of the big boys - a Breville juice extractor. Love it! But who wants drag that big heavy thing onto the counter, then peel oranges in the morning just to get a glass of juice? This is quick, easy, and a great bargain as well. You don't need to spend a fortune to get a great product. We have made a full pitcher of juice in a couple of minutes without any slowing down of the motor. There are two sizes of reamers, which is handy. And it fits compactly under my counter. Just a note if you get one - there is a tiny band of cardboard that secures the motor for shipping. It is on the center post under the place where the reamers fit on. If you don't remove it, the motor won't come on when you push down on the reamer to make juice. I thought the machine was broken when I first tried to use it, and there is no mention of this thing on the instructions. As for the shipping, it came in just a couple of days, which I appreciated....This review is from: Aroma ACJ-181 1-Liter Citrus JuicerI have very productive grapefruit, orange, and lime trees on my property and this year has been the best ever. This little machine does all it promises to do. I like the pulp so I just removethe few seeds I get in the filter and pour in the leftover pulp, filling half gallon bottles of the orange and grapefruit juices without a wimper from this little $15 baby. Cleaning is a snap under the faucet and air drying before I put the machine away. I just wish I hadn't waited so long. Incidently, I have 2 or 3 appliances from Aroma and have had excellent results....This review is from: Aroma ACJ-181 1-Liter Citrus JuicerFor the price, I'm happy with this juicer. I've had a similar one of a different brand in the past (Black & Decker), and after an initial use this Aroma juicer seems comparable. I used it to juice 2" limes for margaritas, and the smaller reaming attachment worked well. The motor is loud, a bit louder than my old juicer, but it gets the job done. Cleaning was easy. The cord keeper feature is nice for tidy storage. If anything goes wrong in the near future, I'll post again, but based on my initial use, I recommend this juicer to anyone who wants an electric option for casual use without breaking the bank....

This review is from: Omega VRT330HD Heavy Duty Vert Juicer, Pearl WhiteI've had the VRT330HD a few weeks now and I've used it everyday. I like that it juices greens better than my old champion, much quieter too. Overall I am satisfied. It takes less work to feed the juicer but I cut up the produce in small pieces especially celery so I hasn't clogged once. Strong motor. I actually like the chewing sound it makes when I put in carrots. It's like the way a human chews rather than a high speed juicer that rips and pulverizes. I believe it produces a better quality juice. Now if it lasts up anywhere near the 10 year warranty that would be great....

Dr. Weil 9804 The Healthy Kitchen Stainless-Steel 80-Watt Juicer with Stainless-Steel Cup

This review is from: Dr. Weil 9804 The Healthy Kitchen Stainless-Steel 80-Watt Juicer with Stainless-Steel CupAfter a lot of research I bought the Weil and the Tribest Citristar knowing one was getting returned. This is a comparison of both. The Weil is 30 watts stronger, I'll give it that. It's much harder to stop the Weil than the Citristar with your hand but both motors are more than capable of the job. It is also a bit better looking, being steel on the outside vs. plastic. Cons are: 1. Not very big at base, therefore tends to wobble just a bit at times. Tribest has much larger base and is far sturdier.2. The reemer isn't wide enough so instead of just pressing down you have to kind of squeeze the sides into it to extract all the juice. Also, half the ridges on the reemer or smooth and curved instead of coming to a point. This prohibits it from really tearing into the flesh of the fruit and extracting all the juice. I compared both with the same amount of oranges and the citristar extracted about 10% more juice than the Weil.3. The reemer on the citristar is much sturdier due to the shaft it sits on being twice as big as the Weil. Both were comparable in noise level in that the Citristar is slightly louder but the Weil has a much higher pitched squeel to it that I thought was a bit irritating. Cleanup for both was very easing. Both seemed to have the same pulp content in the juice. Generally, I feel the Citristar is a better all around juicer. The Weil seems more like asthetics may have been the top priority. Weil introduced this juicer with a whole lineup of kitchen appliances instead of focusing on just this product. It's advertised as being Swiss. I don't quite see it. Overall, it's a decent juicer but for the current price of $80 to $100 either get the Citristar or step up to the Breville Citrus Press....This review is from: Dr. Weil 9804 The Healthy Kitchen Stainless-Steel 80-Watt Juicer with Stainless-Steel CupThe only thing I have to compare this juicer to is the manual lever press model I've used for 30 years. The manual was fine for the occasional lemon or lime I had to squeeze, but recently my husband took to mixing fresh lime juice into his seltzer instead of drinking orange juice. We were going through 5 limes a day and the process was making our mild carpel tunnel problems flare up, and the process was messy, so we decided to go electric. When reading this review, keep in mind that I've only used this product for limes and lemons...not larger fruits. We had a choice between the Dr. Weill/Spring, the less expensive Cuisinart, and the more expensive Breville automatic lever model(which was too tall for our counter set up and more than we wanted to pay). So far, from reading the other reviews, this was the right choice. It is not truely 'automatic' because you do have to press the fruit against the reamer for what seems a relatively long time (compared to the manual press), but it is much easier on the hands and delivers much more juice. The machine is quite stable, so you can use both hands to manipulate the fruit. The spout works well and accomplishes the process with virtually no mess aside from having to rinse out the pieces. It stores nicely and looks great. The major problem with all of the other electric models seems to be longevity, and since we've only been using the juicer for a week, I can't speak to this issue yet. I don't know why they felt it necessary to include a stainless steel cup...I would have rather paid less....This review is from: Dr. Weil 9804 The Healthy Kitchen Stainless-Steel 80-Watt Juicer with Stainless-Steel CupI make fresh orange and grapefruit juice with this several times a week. It is easy to use- even my 2 1/2 year old "helps" me make juice. Easy to clean - dishwasher safe. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product....

This review is from: Juiceman JCJ150S 40-Watt Automatic Citrus Juicer with 2 Juicing ConesI've had this for a couple of weeks now. It does a great job of juicing lemons. I've done up to 6 lemons in a row with no trouble. It has a reversing feature - when you stop pushing and then push again the juicer switches rotation. Sometimes it didn't switch, but I just kept starting and stoping until the fruit was juiced. I don't think the reversal is that crucial. The spout is a little low; I guess they are expecting you to juice into a juice glass. I don't own any so I just used a short plastic cup. I was worried that the motor would not be powerful enough but it does a great job of getting all the juice. The removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe....

This review is from: Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor 1 EA67650Decided to try juicing due to recent dietary restrictions. Researched consumer and nutrition guru reviews on different types of juicers as well as different brands. Deciding that a centrifugal juicer was good enough for a novice, I went with the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro due to the good reviews this product line gets. It's amazing: easy to use/clean, no problems handling any of the veggies. Of course, since my energy level improved immediately after the first glass of juice, there was no way this product was going to earn a bad review. The pulp is nearly sawdust-dry, something I did not expect with a product this inexpensive. It really does a great job extracting juice. It really disturbed me to face giving up my favorite foods (salads, whole fresh fruit, fried foods), but now that I'm working with this product, I look forward to meals!...This review is from: Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor 1 EA67650This is the first juicer I have purchased and so far I am very happy. It has a small foot print and has adequate power for everything I have juiced thus far. Clean-up involves 4-5 pieces and can mostly be done with rinsing in hot water. Consumer Reports rated this a best buy and I agree....This review is from: Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor 1 EA67650I have nothing to compare to......but, I really like this purchase. Easy to use and clean. I look forward to many years of positive use. I'd buy it again....

This review is from: Maxi-Matic EJX-9700 Elite Platinum Stainless-Steel 2-Speed Whole-Fruit Juice ExtractorI had purchased the EJX-9700 Elite juicer about two years ago. It was my fist juicer & I have never juiced before. I purchased it because it was in my price range & the so called great "Jack Lelane" juicer was way out of my wallet. Any way, I fell in love with the juicer because it was easy to clean, could fit whole apples in the chute, pulp was dry, & most importantly, the kids and the neighbor hood kids, liked the juice that it made. I dropped it one day & it broke, unfortunately I couldn't find another one so I settled for a clearanced Jack leleane juicer. Wasn't happy with it because it left moist pulp & chunks of vegys & fruit. So I took it back and got another. I finally ended up with three different kind... even payed $150.00 for one, but wasn't happy with any. I'm now waiting for my new Elite to come home so me & my family can juice again....This review is from: Maxi-Matic EJX-9700 Elite Platinum Stainless-Steel 2-Speed Whole-Fruit Juice ExtractorThe juicer works very well and cleans up really easily. It does not have much trouble juicing tougher vegetables. For the most part, I only use the juicer on the low speed. It maximizes the juice output and leaves the pulp extremely dry. I could not be happier with my purchase....

Cuisinart Cj-200pc Citrus Pro Juicer

This review is from: Cuisinart Cj-200pc Citrus Pro JuicerI purchased this but had to return it. In order to move the adjustable spout either up or down, it was necessary to also touch the rim of the juicer in order to keep the whole thing from moving around; the slightest touch would send it spinning, throwing juice everywhere . . what a mess. I had to unplug it every time I wanted to snap the spout open or closed, in order to keep the machine from turning on and spraying whatever juice was already in it--too much trouble!...

Juice Extractor in White

This review is from: Juice Extractor in WhiteWell I order this juicer because my own had just stopped working after many years. I got it in white because it was a little bit less than the black one. The juicer is great for the way it is used in my household. If you are going to be juicing everyday maybe two time, or more I would say to get a model that has a stronger motor. This juicer does the job and there is nothing it can not handle. Carrots and apples with the skin on it still (less the seeds) are just a few of the things that I put in it. If you are going to make juicing part of your life and you are not really sure how much you will use it this one is the fit for you. I would not go with anything with less motor power than this one. This only gets four starts because the motor is not as strong as one of the other you can find, but outside of that it would have five stars....

Cleaning Made Simple - Dishwasher-safe, removable parts disassemble easily for cleaning

This review is from: Back to Basics A12 Aluminum Steam JuicerI made this purchase off from a suggestion from a colleague that has been using one for years. My initial need was to make hard cider and I did not have access to a cider press and the stuff you buy in the store is loaded with preservative. In less than an hour I was able to turn 2 pecks of apples into juice and I ran the pulp through a food mill to make apple sauce for my self and my 7 month old baby. Very little prep is needed, just wash your produce and if it is large cut it in half or quarters and toss it in the basket. The juice from the unit rivaled that of freshly pressed and it is already pasturized. I can't wait to try it out on other seasonal produce. I plan on purchasing 2 more for my mother and brother that make wine. I brew beer and will use it for adjunts to my seasonal ales....This review is from: Back to Basics A12 Aluminum Steam JuicerI requested this juicer as a present because I hated to borrow my neighbors all canning season long and wanted to stay in the budget of the purchaser. I used this to process peaches, grapes and plums. I love this juicer. Pros:Unit nests together for compact storage. Large top basket allows me to fill it up and forget it for a while. Super easy to use. Cons:Since this unit is aluminum, you get a lightweight metal that can be dented or warped with some abuse. The clamp is slightly troublesome. It didn't always shut completely and it dropped some juice. I just made sure to check it before walking away.Plastic handles feel a little cheap, but you get what you pay for. If I need to get another juicer, I will probably get a stainless steel one, but don't regret getting this one at all. Make sure that you put a marble or two in the bottom of the unit with the water. They will start to bounce around when the water gets low to warn you so you don't boil it dry....
